Darigaaz, this is my 7th year on this site!?

You guys are both way too old. The senior center is over in THAT direction, grandpas! :P

While the overall package wasn't a heavy hitter, Breath of Fire IV had some pretty rad ideas that I think are worth revisiting.

Not as bad as crossing the desert in 3.

And I totally forgot about poor ol’ Mina Elina (oops, thanks Feld) and what happens to her towards the end. Shit, that was pretty sad.

Game 6
Washington 5 @ Pittsburgh 2 - FINAL

Oh my god… The Capitals actually might just do this time around and not choke this time!

- DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!?!?!?

@ kentona - I would have still personally held on to Shattenkirk if I were in the Blues shoes because they were still in a playoff spot at the time around the trade deadline and could have really used him against the Predators in that series. But I guess now that they’re officially out, getting that additional 1st rounder and a couple of prospects and a pick for him looks like a decent move for them now towards the future.

And, yeah, Letestu looks pretty damn good on the 4th line right now. Hell, a lot of the Oilers are looking pretty damn good thus far. It’s amazing what one year can do for an entire team, and I hope that they can continue this success.

Darigaaz, this is my 7th year on this site!?

Yeah, we could do it where one year gives you a one point makerscore badge, five years for five, and so on. We could then have a thread stickied for when users reach a particular milestone, they then post in the thread and then Liberty (or whoever) gives that user the achievement after some minor clarification has been done. Bada-boom-bada-bing.

[Poll] Girl Guide Cookies, Which Is Your Favorite: Chocolate, Vanilla Or Mint?

You know you want it.

So I was at my local Save-On-Foods earlier today and saw out of the corner of my eye one of greatest traditions around this time known to man: Girl Guide Cookies...where you get to give some small pocket change to some smiling, young pretty faces in the crowd in exchange for some delicious, delicious treats. Mmm…

But then it got me thinking – what’s your favorite favor of cookie? Is it vanilla and nothing but vanilla? Are you a chocoholic or a minty person? Do you even buy Girl Guide cookies at all, or when was the last time you bought some for yourself or for someone else?

As for me, I personally like the vanilla ones the best. The chocolate ones are still pretty tasty, but vanilla is the king of kings for me here. And as for mint? Meh.

Actually, it’s funny, ‘cause when my brother and I were really young and our parents would buy us both a couple of boxes the odd time, my brother would eat nothing but the vanilla ones and then just give me all of his chocolate ones whenever he was finished with the vanillas. The catch was that if I did get the rest of one of his boxes, he would then try to steal my vanilla cookies from one of my boxes when I wasn’t looking. (B*stard!)

- But, yeah, what's your favorite?

Blues shouldn’t have never traded away Shattenkirk at the deadline and let most of their depth players from last season walk via free agency. If they still had most or all of those guys still around, then they would have beaten the Predators, no problems.

And, yeah, anything’s still possible, here. I’m at least hoping that the Rangers and Sens make it to a seventh game to make things a bit more interesting here.

While the overall package wasn't a heavy hitter, Breath of Fire IV had some pretty rad ideas that I think are worth revisiting.

Yeah, Breath Of Fire 4 was a pretty good game, IMO, and I actually kind of prefer it more than 3, actually. Both games were pretty solid in my books, and had some really interesting ideas going for it, like you already mentioned.

I mean, the only sucky thing that I can remember right now is that they got rid of the dragon gene splicing mechanic from 3 and dumbed it down a bit by just having straight up transformations for Ryu. Plus the world map was reduced by going from point A to point B on a pretty linear pathway, but then again Breath Of Fire 3’s world map was pretty similar to it in a lot of cases, so it’s not that much of a big deal.

But yeah, having all your party members being able to fight together, and switch between one another for certain situations was a pretty cool idea. The combo system was neat, similar to something out of Chrono Trigger, and it was pretty cool how you got to play as the game’s main villain and kind of see things from his own personal perspective of what’s going on, compared to the other three games.

It’s just a shame that this Breath Of Fire game was pretty much the last game in the series that went this way before 5 and 6 started changing things unnecessarily to something else that’s almost completely unrecognizable to the rest of the series. Instead of taking away what worked before, they should have continued building upon it.

HI, what rpg maker games are your favorites?

@ Tuomo_L - No, I mainly liked it because it not only had multiple different endings and pathways that you could take, which increased the replay value for it, but it also had a ton of different gameplay variety and some of the deaths in it were pretty freaky and quite surreal to see for the time. Plus Mia was f**king boss.

I’m still a bit sore that you decided not to continue the Dooms series, but maybe one day you might consider bringing it back, or at least updating it with a new fresh coat of paint.

And, yeah, you should consider making another list sometime soon, CashmereCat. I think my own list might have a changed a bit since 2014.

Darigaaz, this is my 7th year on this site!?

If I still used my old Silver4Donuts account from back in the day, I’d be on my 8th year here, but as of now, I’m on my 4th.

You know, RMN should give out yearly achievement badges to members that have been around for a year, five years, or even ten years or more on this site. I wonder if someone ever mentioned or considered that idea before? That would be pretty cool.

Either way, congrats on the seven years of being a slave member here on RMN, Marrend. Continue to push onwards towards the double digits!

No clue what's next on my gammak plate!

You’re supposed to plan three games ahead that you wanna make in advance after your current one's done. That’s how the pros do it.
