I had to "Old Yeller" my old laptop, a laptop that has given me a decade of entertainment, became the ultimate retro console thanks to emulators, and has allowed me to pursue my dream of being a game designer with both RPG Maker & SMBX. Now, ALL of that work, is gone. This is not how my 40th birthday should be. I am dead inside now. I just don't give a shit about anything anymore ;_;

More video feedback:
Colorful Playground (v1.1) (W1) by Frogge:
That block that I kept dying to open is a bit too 'trolly' for a world 1 level. I'd make it easier to access & easier to hit.
Frostbite Island (v1.1) (W5) by Jparker1984:
My rage at the end of the video was caused by my patience running out considering what I had to deal with in Frogge's Colorful Playground. I wasn't playing at my best either which just frustrated me even more. Same thing happened with the 2nd version of pyrodoom's Bill Bouncing in Billowy Brumes. I was simply in a bad mood that got worse with the level trolling me. Whether you should change anything about the level or not I leave between you & Hali.
When I get a decent amount of the areas finished I'll show it off in a Let's Test, including playing it in 2P mode. I don't have anyone else to play it but I do have 2 controllers & it will show how horrible it really is playing 2P mode.

author=halibabicaThe level is designed as a race against a timer in order to gain access to a reward area between each area. After laying out the ground work for each area's entry, I decided to add a 2nd pipe that connects to each area & placed Mario & Luigi ! blocks to designate who goes into which pipe. The beginning of each area is divided into a top half (Luigi's starting point) & lower half (Mario's starting point). Each beginning has a wall of red block to act as a 'starting line' with a resprited GO! block that removes the blocks & starts the timer. The 2 players are not only racing against the timer but against each other as well. The level is still playable in 1P mode as well. The 2nd player's designated starting part is just so 2 players can actually have a fair takeoff when the timer starts just like a real race.from AnimebryanUmm...what exactly do you mean by 'catered'?
It's also catered for 2 player play

Video feedback for Bill Bouncing in Billowy Brumes (v1.2) (W6) by pyrodoom:
So it looks like I'll be doing Let's Tests for Frostbite Island by Jparker1984 & Colorful Playground by Frogge next.
Since there's no feedback for my previous levels, I'm focusing all my time on my last level The Yoshi Relay Race. It'll take about a week to complete & I will be uploading Let's Tests for it to show how it looks & plays out. It's also catered for 2 player play, but I have to say, the split screen heavily reduces your field of vision (i.e. its a horrible way to play SMBX!)

I just sent Hali a update for my W8 mini-boss level Boss Factory. Since it takes him awhile to notice & update the list, here's the link for those who want to play test it & offer feedback (please!): https://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/21635/locker/W8_Miniboss_Boss_Factory_v11.zip
There seems to be something wrong with the Frostbite Island file because the file size is only 593 bytes (not MB or KB, but regular bytes) & Jparker1984's posted link is dead.
As for everyone else, I still haven't received any feedback for:
W3 Naval Piranha's Bog
W4 Barrel Volcano
W6 General Fly Guy's Air Force
W7 Fire & Brimstone
I have to say, I'm disappointed that no one returned the favor of providing feedback for any of my levels, but whatever.
In the meantime, I'm working on my last level, W9 The Yoshi Relay Race, which will be my 'Masterpiece' level for this event. It's basically a level that summarizes the overall theme of both this game & the original Yoshi's Island. Besides the starting & goal areas, there will be 8 sections, each one based on each world (1-8). Each area will have a designated matching Yoshi available & you'll need to try to get through each area within a time limit in order to claim a reward at the end of each area (flowers will be prizes for the last 5 areas). Trust me, it'll be great!
author=pyrodoomI'll do another Let's Test for your level to see how it handles with the new update. (Don't worry, I won't be 'raging' like I was before).
Updated Billowy Brumes. I decreased the number of enemies and replaced most of them with goombas so that you can't take too much advantage of the Yoshis I give you.
To compensate, not only did I add one in the original position, but another one somewhere else in the level. So 3 Yoshis for the price of not being able to fly through the whole thing. :3

Just sent Hali my updated General Fly Guy's Air Force level. I've toned down the difficulty & the boss is mostly functional now. Would like some feedback of it so I know if it needs to be toned down even more.
Speaking of feedback, for all the feedback I've given, especially video feedback, I would expect some feedback of my levels in return. So far, only Hali has given me any feedback on my levels, I wish some of you guys would do so as well. I still haven't got any feedback on my reversion of Fire & Brimstone yet. I'm also waiting for feedback for Naval Piranha's Bog & Barrel Volcano as well.
I'll do another video feedback for Frostbite Island over the weekend while working on a reversion of Boss Factory, since it's insanely hard toward the end. I don't have internet at home so I won't be able to post again until Monday after 3pm today. I'll check one more time before I go to see if there are any new levels to test.

Another video feedback:
Frosty Cave (W8 WTF?) by Davenport:
Um, Davenport, until you get you level designing act together, I won't be doing tests of your levels anymore. I couldn't complete the level because you trolled the player by trapping them with a flower with no way out! Reminds me of another ice level you made where I couldn't get past the beginning because its just flat out impossible (the one with the nipper in the middle of a pit).
That's ok. I was gonna upload it either last Thursday or Friday but couldn't because I didn't have access to the internet.
Funny thing is, I originally set it all up as blocks but you can only attach NPCs to layers, not blocks or backgrounds. The entire boss is broken up into 5 layers;
Ship Movement - Invisible & friendly paratroopa set to chase.
Gen. Fly Guy's Ship - everything but Gen. Fly Guy (including the glass box)
Gen. Fly Guy - which is actually Mother Brain resprited.
Bomb Generator - drops bombs from underneath the ship
Homing Bullet Generators - shoots 2 homing bullets from the top of ship (needed to fire triple fireballs at him).

@Animebryan: I'm really sorry about the mini-boss confusion, I actually had no idea someone had made a mini-boss for W8 D:

@Animebryan: While I was at it, I took a peek at the General Guy fight to see what the trouble was. The issue you're having is that you tried to use NPCs instead of blocks to build his flying machine. Most NPCs don't obey layer movement because they usually have their own behaviors to follow. You'll need to build the flying machine out of blocks and backgrounds for it to fly properly. Making General Guy and his windshield cooperate is another story. The glass box can ride on solid objects, but it can't be moved by layer events. More often than not, it just explodes when you try. Mother Brain, however, can be moved. So if you make Mother Brain into General Guy and put him on the same layer as his vehicle, he'll fly around. If you want to keep his windshield, I'd set it so he stays still while it's unbroken and have the windshield's death event activate the machine to start flying.

I was just letting you know I needed help with it, I wasn't saying you had to do it right away. Anyway, I'm glad I don't have to scrap my Boss Factory concept, now I just need to tone down the difficulty. Btw, is there gonna be a way to know which levels are playable & which are still WIPs? I'd be more than happy to test anyone's level (including yours) once they're fully playable, its just hard to tell which ones are though.

Yay! I can post!
Video feedback for Davenport's Autumn Sky (W1): (I had to 'roast' him first)
About world 8's mini-boss level. Illy decided to turn Perilous Pipe Depot into a mini-boss level, but I couldn't submit my mini-boss level (Boss Factory) because I couldn't get on the internet last Thursday & Friday. I need to know which is 'officially' the mini-boss level, because mine was designed to be a mini-boss level. If in fact Illy's level is considered the mini-boss level then I need to redo the entire level & change the name too.
Also, I'm gonna need help with my world 6 boss fight (General Fly Guy's Air Force). The layer movement for the boss isn't working right. You can see what I had in mind if you open up the level & move Mario's starting position into the boss section. I'm not sure if it can work the way I want to. I know you said you want boss fights to be something special so hopefully the boss fight can play out the way I had planned.
