AVEE'S PROFILE

I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.

I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.

Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

Going with the bottom left one was the best choice :)
But I also really like the canisters on the top left one.
The metal thing on the bottom right one's barrel is a little confusing... Are these circling the barrel like a twirl whisk?

Merry Christmas RMN

Have fun and be safe on the roads, guys! :)

Is that a Shake Weight? :P
Really nice stuff, Ken!

I've been working on something cool. I'll probably be able to send it your way in a week or so. Hope you have nice holidays and Merry Christmas!

Tried so hard to make a game

I can see a couple of small mistakes in the anatomy but otherwise this is fantastic, very professional grade work!

Gilgano's right knee is a little too low, making his thigh look too long and his lower leg too short.
Also, judging from his constitution, his feet seem a little too small.

Ress' torso/hips might be just a little too long. I would move it up a little and make her thighs a little longer.
Her right thigh seems a little too short too.

Also looking forward to Super Mimi Souls: from what I've seen it's going to be a great game :D

The Simple Times

Thanks for the explanations :)
I'll play again a little later but for now, the problem with the bandits is that there must be an event command that sets my party's Exp to zero, because I lost over 100 Exp after fighting them.

EDIT: It's probably the Level Tracker common event that resets my levels somehow.

The Simple Times

Irog: Simple Times
-A simple educational game indeed, effective at what it aims to do. You found a clever way to minimize the mapping needed. I liked that the horse's animation would also speed up or down along with movement speed and that we can control the difficulty ourselves by altering said speed.
-My niece suggests an improvement: unicorns.

Corfaisus: MY MoM
-This is a peaceful and pleasant experience and I can relate to a few similar moments. I know how it feels to mention who your crushes are then get laughed at or sabotaged by friends :P
-The memorable events and small life lessons we learn as kids are always fun to recall. Seeing how neighbors and classmates were and lived was always a rich experience too, especially when going to their houses to play or eat dinner.
-I remember throwing up in a classroom's trash can too :P Probably due to a lack of, or too much, sleep…

CrazyBabi: The Emperor of BlueFire
-I didn't expect a game of this size coming out of this event! Good job developing all that and making all the custom assets within the allotted time. The pseudo 3D style is lovely and reminiscent of some of the Pokémon games.
-I imagine there's an optimal strategy to every battle and you have to buy more packs to get extra characters. Still, I defeated Steve with the initial setup, had to wait for Sahuagin to run out of MP then finished him off using Explosive a few times. I don't know if I'll keep playing but it's a charming game.
-I was a bit bothered by the fact that it doesn't really feel like a card game. It's more like a traditional RPG where you can buy packs of equipment and items.
-Kids who lose a game have to give money to the winner? Gee, that would be so wrong in real life :P

pianotm: Adventure Unlimited
-This game also seems pretty big considering the event. Visuals and music tracks are pleasant and charming. I like the many choices we have when selecting characters. There are several bugs and omissions, though:
-The lack of information about weapons' stats and characteristics is an issue for me: having to buy them all, see what they do in the equipment menu then reload and buy only what's optimal.
-I would have liked more banter between the characters or more comments about the areas and NPCs they encounter.
-I don't get experience points from the bandits on the world map.
-When the first character dies, the game may crash right away or when some commands are used.
-The error "Invalid CBA ID 4" seems to come up whenever I'm about to defeat the last Frankenstein slime, so I can't progress any further.
-The eastern town also seems incomplete? I can't talk to the inn's owner, and leaving the building with a lantern sign teleports me outside the inn.
I couldn't play as much as I wanted so there's not a lot I can say about this entry but it has potential.

The Simple Times

Congrats on submitting games! I was too busy (as usual) to submit anything...

I started playing the entries and will share some feedback when done :)

[RMMV] RTP Creations

It's true that custom graphics tend to attract more attention than the RTP assets we've all seen again and again, but we can always "invest" in other aspects of our games to make them stand out: an uncommon or deep story, a creative concept or setting, custom gameplay mechanics, etc.
The RTP assets can look lovely if used well. It's more about one's mapping and level design skills, and the fun content you add into your game, than it is about the assets.

Getting noticed and raising engagement also depends on several factors such as timing and advertisement, how often we update our gamepage with new content, how active we are in the community, how much trafic we bring from other communities, making a fangame of a popular franchise, etc.
We have to somehow show onlookers that our gamepage is worth clicking on, that our game is worth playing.

That being said, I believe that it's best to make games for your own enjoyment first and foremost. Anyone whose primary objective is to become popular or to receive praise and validation from others isn't in this for the right reasons. (Not that I presume that's your case. I just feel like it might be good to mention.)

The Simple Times

Someone can add you to their team so you're in two or more, yes.

Hero's Realm: Heroic Edition

I like the smol left one the most. It has the cleanest choice of coloring and shading, consistent with the style of other sprites.
