Gaming and game design are my hobbies. I've spent the most time with VX Ace and 2k3 (prior to Steam release), but the only thing I've ever finished anything with is 2k.

1.44 Floppy Disc Event

2033 Neo Crusader SquadI have no idea what's going on or what I'm supposed to do. There's only one place to go, and absolutely nothing on either map responds to the enter key. The graphics are nice and minimalistic. Your auto title ceiling for the interior is broken.
Yeah, I wasn’t able to finish so I submitted what I had, which was an exterior and interior map. Glad the graphics went over well barring the auto tile issue since that was pretty much all I finished of the game.

I didn't finish and ran out of time to work on it, but I submitted what I had. Nothing more than two maps of custom RM2000 resources.
I did learn however that I am capable of making my own resources. They aren't pretty and I had to use the RTP as a base layer to make sure everything lined up right, but it's mine.
Originally I was aiming for the SMT: Persona PSP overworld aesthetic but a low color, low resolution version. Ran out of time early on to make that work, so scattered rectangle building clusters it was.
I did learn however that I am capable of making my own resources. They aren't pretty and I had to use the RTP as a base layer to make sure everything lined up right, but it's mine.

Have you heard of Humble Bundle? They frequently have bundles for RPG Maker and miscellaneous game design resources where you can get several resource and music packs for a decent price, sometimes as Steam Keys and sometimes as separate downloads.
Horror resource packs are frequently included, especially closer to Halloween. They don't have any RPG Maker bundles running right now but they occur often enough that people complain about the frequency of game design bundles on that site. Can't say I've seen Industrial Revolution resources but Steampunk pops and is fairly similar; wouldn't take too many edits to make it look more realistic.
I'd say I've acquired 90%-95% of my resource library through them.

I wildly overestimated how much free time I have and underestimated how many assets my plan actually required. I don't think I'm going to be able to finish this one.

SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated
I picked this up on a whim since it was on sale. It was nice to replay the game on a modern system, but the stages are smaller than I remember them being. 100% completion over the weekend. Not a long game, but it is arguably one of the best licensed games of all time. Couldn't try the multiplayer, though. If you played the original as a kid or if you have kids who like SpongeBob, I would recommend picking it up if you can get it for around $20. Any higher and it isn't really worth it. A lot of the memes that came out of the show make an appearance in background art and idle animations.

At first I thought "Wow, 'Expertly designed and polished GOTY contender!' is only $8,000? That seems low." Then I saw the disclaimer at the bottom.

That's okay, several years ago I was in an event and forgot to submit my final version through the event page at the end.
PS1 Classic, anyone?
I'm still amazed they kept the terrible English translation of Revelations: Persona with the cut content instead of just re-translating the Japanese version. You'd think Atlus would have wanted to capitalize on the Persona 5 train that everybody was on at the time.
I would add more fighting games and racing games to the lineup, since those were some of the popular titles for the console. Guilty Gear, Soul Blade, Gran Turismo. Maybe throw another FPS or two in there and a horror game besides Resident Evil and some more RPGs.
