Goatchild: Advent of Vantelieth

My subscription list is getting long.

Sounds good, like a solid evolution to the previous entry.

Remie and Alana

Played the demo. Nothing really bad about it. Sentinals were a bit too Quarter-happy though that may have just been my terrible RNG luck. I also hate the TP thing but I gather that's an RPG Maker thing (I don't play many RPGs in RPG Maker). The music is the strong point. The art is passable. I don't like the magical girl designs but I'm super picky about that so I'll call them passable too. Axolotls for familiars is pretty cool.

I forget, were you supposed to get abilities with the final weapon upgrade? Oh, I love the idea of upgrading existing weapons rather than getting whole new ones.

The characters were alright. I wasn't invested enough in the girls before the confession scene so it lost some impact but they're a cute enough couple so it will probably be ok for the final version.

Good work. Volleyduck for overlord 2016.

It Moves

https://youtu.be/I286fU4y4Jw?t=10m34s congrats on getting featured in a CreepsMcPasta video. The guy has a pretty popular channel. I've been subbed for some time and once I saw this video I was thinking "yeah yeah but there's no way he'll mention SnowOwl's one."

proved me wrong in the best possible way.

Usagito Watashi

I can testify that I've never seen the problem either but yeah it's not like .ogg is difficult. Might be best for people to just use that instead just to cut down on potential problems.

Nakaishi Wars

1) Missing a word in the 2nd sentence. And Izo has a funny face. Again, I don't think Izo's face is a bad thing. Just commenting.

3) I know how you feel. I said "The ghost is clear" instead of "the coast is clear" for 20+ years. I was almost 30 when somebody finally corrected me.

4) Sorry, I've got no idea. I looked up some stuff before making the comment and it seemed all up in the air to me.

5) Sorry I can't help with it. I only poked around in VXA some and have only gotten serious with MV.

7) Maybe just "North." 1 sec. I forgot to turn my coffee pot on. ok back. The player will use cardinal directions anyway so you might as well embrace it. Another option is to be vague and say "over there" or "that way." since the characters go their separate ways anyway, the actual direction isn't important. It's shown to us.

8) Nothing wrong with references so long as they fit and the game's not too serious for them. I always follow a rule of thumb that "if a western tabletop RPG or a Japanese video game seems like they're referencing history or mythology, they're likely fudging the details somewhere. It's just how it goes LOL. Go ahead and try and tell an FF8 fan that Quizzy wasn't a flying electric slug. He'll punch you right in the mouth for it.

*Best of luck with your work. Your stuff deserves more fans.

Nakaishi Wars

This is pretty cool. I only got up to finishing the Lenneth one but I really enjoyed it. The crew has a good jive and this is my first time playing an SRPG made in RM. It's one of my favourite genres (one of my backburnered projects is meant to play like a mix of Super Robot Taisen and Langrisser 4PSX) and I do so love mecha (In addition to a video game I'm developing a mecha-themed board game). Oh, I also played the simulation missions too.

I found some potential bugs and other oddities. Some I was unsure of. I put them here for you to look at. http://imgur.com/a/EqGGi

Your AI is easily abused but you do a good job of covering it up with your maps. I like how your units are very task-specific. I'd like maybe a bit more customization but not in such a way that units can blend together.

All in all this is really fun and I'm sad to see it on hiatus, but I've subbed and I'll keep watching to hopefully some day see it completed.

Lies

It's listed as N/A, so he likely doesn't have a set date. Devs usually don't because it's pretty impossible to predict.

Oh, no it's my fault I guess. I haven't thought of luring him away with the music. Maybe you could find a way to tell the player more precisely that this is a thing. :3

The hint is when you talk to the bear thing in the library. A statue comes in and tells you to keep it quiet in there. So naturally blasting music would bring him back. Although I did the library first so when I entered the thread room and the statue started moving towards me I thought he was going to kill me LOL

Also, Pyromantic, sorry. I lost my cool there and was WAY ruder than I should have been. I'm still learning the levels that RM goers test things at (which, honestly, to me looks like they just go "Yay! I get to play it before anyone else!" and then play normally.)

I do play in an unorthodox manner. I use left-hand rule instead of right-hand rule, I never check the thing that obviously advances the story until I've checked everything else, and I keep loads of saves and keep going back to try things in different orders (for example the RM game Qui Domi has a massive amount of hidden content for that sort of play). This is a holdover from the many dating sims, jRPGs and adventure games which tended to have hidden scenes and multiple endings. "Try everything and save often in different slots." was my motto back then.

Anyway, I do apologize and I'm overjoyed that you fixed so much. Sorry if I came off strong there.

I got some pretty weird bugs with taking the thread too. One is game breaking.

Like Lucy_Fox said,
the yes/no option to take something appears twice if you have to play the radio twice because you didn't get all the yarn in one try.

I had the music playing when I entered the thread room for the first time so maybe some switch didn't get flipped or was flipped out of order.

A game-breaking glitch happened when the guard came back while I was stealing thread for the third time. It just sits on a black screen. The game is still running and I can still bring up menus, leading me to believe that a Fade In is missing. I had to reload my save.

EDIT: Oops. I went and got coffee before posting this and forgot that I wasn't done writing yet. I made the bug happen again and you can fix it by stumbling around until you leave the room. So if any of you get a black screen, leave the room.

EDIT2: That didn't take long. In the room with the loom there's a 2nd bad glitch. If you check the loom but aren't ready to weave anything yet, you're stuck in the YES/NO selection unless you pick YES. Hitting X doesn't even cancel out, it accepts. So you're weaving whether you want to or not. Pressing X even makes a different sound but you're still stuck in the menu.

EDIT3: If you get stuck on this part of the stairs, go down, not forward. http://i.imgur.com/jMSLOBu.png

EDIT4: Another game breaking bug. If you have your panacea and you access the purple guy from above, you can't progress.

EDIT5: After you deal with the purple guy, the statue on the lower right looks like it's not blocking your path anymore but you still can't pass. You need to go around through the window again. But exiting left through the loom room at this point puts you in the old state of the main hallway, not the updated one.

EDIT6: And I'm stuck after that part. The door is clearly open but I can't enter and using action on it makes the same sound as when it was closed (which sounds more like an opening door but meh, whatever).

Dude, Demo and Beta mean different things. I was really hyped for this. It looked totally awesome. Now I'm royally pissed. If it's an open beta, CALL IT AN OPEN BETA! If it's a demo, make sure somebody actually played it first. Lots of people here will test your game completely for free just to help out or just to get the chance to play it first.
