Do you have a download link to final fantasy endless nova? The sci-fi genre in RPG maker is sorely lacking.

Mr. Nemo posted a hyperlink to it.
I don't remember if it or Ara Fell was my first RPG Maker game. It may be a little dated by today's raised bar.

Final Fantasy : Endless Nova
Of course, it doubles as a Final Fantasy game.

MEGAUPLOAD HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN BY THE FEDS

That MU video is mostly theoretical possibility / practical crackpottery. Don't let it make you lose sleep.
Trying to do mass fines/imprisonments for copyright infringement will only cause a bloody revolution. Mass extraditions will cause bloody revolutions elsewhere.
At worst, you might win the "Make an example" lottery they do every so often, but if you're worried about those odds, buy a lottery ticket so you can pay it off.

The one thing to note is the part about selective enforcement based on what is connected to who. I stand by my claim that SOPA was deliberately written with intent to protect entrenched groups and stifle competition.

Knock off the "top of page" "new page" "page snype skillz". They're almost as bad as image macros.

THANK YOU!! My thoughts exactly.

Out before the rage.
Booya!

Didn't know about the image macros though. Will avoid them in the future.

not because you're better than anyone.

Which, incidentally, is the haughty attitude of yours that provoked me to reply in the first place.
Everything else you said was a shabby personal attack. Lame.

*Sigh* Obama signed the NDAA bill only after it got amended.

What was amended? The whole furor was over the indefinite detention sections, and they're still there.
If anything was changed, it wasn't what anybody cared about.

Nobody is arguing over a right to pirate shit. Yeah, there are lots of people who haven't completely thought it through, but they're just accumulative pawns led by the people who originally raised the awareness.
The topic at hand is government's role on the internet. The web has gotten along just fine with little-to-no government oversight, and it even poses as a useful tool when people need to organise against said governments (see Egypt). What we had here was a bill giving the Feds tremendous censoring power over the internet, originally motivated by monopolist special interest groups acting on behalf of last century's business models. If you want to make a case for Intellectual Property Rights, take that shit elsewhere. SOPA has nothing to do with it.
"Critical of government" or "distrust"? That's irrelevant. Government is a reflection of the people; nothing more and nothing less. Intelligent, informed people will hold their government in careful check. Stupid, selfish people are as good as sheep. I "distrust" government because I know people are stupid, selfish, and unwilling to make sacrifices to protect their interests. I know for a fact that the special interests are in tight control, and so I "distrust" the government.
Your holier-than-thou diatribe falls on deaf ears.

PEOPLE, PLEASE STOP SPREADING AROUND WORD THAT MEGAUPLOAD IS BACK OR NOT COMPLETELY DOWN.

Like I said, just a rumor. Thanks for the clarification.

Anyway, I'm afraid I have to disagree with you here as well; if, as you say, strikes are extralegal actions that target the government

I did mention that "they're aimed at those who define legality, or the close friends thereof". Technically, strikes are performed against the striking workers' employer, but keep in mind that the employer had the full consent of the government to continue the working conditions up to that point. I'm talking about the real labor movements throughout history; not the piddly Paid Daycare or Dental Benefits stuff of the baby boomer generation.
If you look at the underlying reason for this chat we're having, it's because the mass strike is making a comeback. It's going to look a little different from the lawnchair and lemonade sit-ins of the last 20 years.

cyberterrorism

It's impossible for us to carry on a discussion about this because we don't agree on the definition of this totally loaded term. You see Cyberterrorism as a legitimate set of behaviors which pose a threat to property and life. I see it as a cheap label applied at convenience in order to antagonise the political opposition of the status quo crowd.
You're right. We should drop that.

most of the blogs and posts I've read express annoyance to agitation that the hackers may have screwed up yesterday's gains with their actions, and concerns about a crackdown resulting from said actions.

Which is a preposterous point of view.
In it's raid on megaupload, the US government has openly expressed it's willingness to escalate it's aggressiveness in enforcing it's own national rulebook on the world wide web. The natural response is an equally hearty counter-measure.
Sitting back and worrying that the government will escalate even further? It's not resistance that prompts the iron fist, but lack thereof.
"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Sorry. I know you're trying to wind this down, but I couldn't resist :x

I'm starting to wonder if this is a clever distraction while something more nefarious is in the works.
