[RM2K3] How do I change the map tileset?

Right click on the map tree and select "Map Properties". Under the "Name" field there is a list called "Tileset". You can click on that and change it to any tileset you have set up in the database. By default, I believe there should be five options. "Inner" or "Interior" is the default interior graphics.

If you want to add more options to that dropdown list, you need to go into the database (it's the button to the right of the 1/8 zoom button in the top list of icons). Once in the database, click "Tilesets" and you will be presented with lots of options.

[RM2K] I'm old. Help me catch up on changes since 2006.

@Ciel:
*enthusiastic thumbsup emoji* soon

@Frogge:
Excellent vibe, cool use of height. I'm pretty intrigued by an RM horror game that doesn't take place in a mansion (no offense to mansions).

@visitors:
I only have two thumbs to put up, but you get them both

but also "you're" is a word

@Deck:
I see JUMP POINTS you cannot hide from me, treasure!

@Momeka:
Killing it, as usual. The general vibe is so macabre and spooky.

@Craze:
hmm, I wonder what inspired that post

Anyway here are some more screens from Moonsong, a game that uses 80% ripped graphics:

more sneaking around, less minigame

I agree! It feels more like a skill tree and less like a bunch of icons floating in space.

Marrend plays World of Xeen!

There's just something so magical about that forest of jumbled green pixels. Maybe it's the secret herb that yells at you when you try and pick it twice, maybe it's the depth of the trees which you don't see in most modern games, I don't know. But it's MAGICAL.

Updated this one with what is most likely going to be its final look.

Random Item chests aren't working [RMMV]

I got here a bit late, but I have noticed that in Rm2k3 if an event (in my case it was also a common event) gets too long the engine simply ignores the last chunk of it, partially or completely, skipping event instructions. I've had it happen a few times; shortening an event or splitting an event into smaller ones usually helps. I'm shocked that it still seems to be happening in RMMV, but... not that shocked.

:o

And agreed about black backgrounds.

author=Deckiller
Yeah it looks much better with those backgrounds. Everything is more salient.

I also did another refmap thing, using one of Polarcactus' backgrounds :D

Black backgrounds it is.

I'm not going to lie, when I saw this screenshot on Twitter I was hoping it'd appear here, too. The people deserve to see it.

I'd explore the shit out of that castle. Well, I wouldn't since there doesn't appear to be any way in, but I'd *want* to explore it.

Thank you everyone! I apologize in advance because I have to post what is effectively the same screenshot four times on one page, but I need some help deciding.

Black backgrounds for the icons? Part of me thinks it looks better (and fewer than five total icons use a black border so it shouldn't interfere with that) but I honestly can't tell if it is an improvement or I've just got Change Fever. I also tried a dithered background, but it didn't look great. Transparency is not an option, I'm afraid.

I also fixed the mysterious floating number, which is a relief. Thanks to kaine87 for the help with that one.
