LIBERTY'S PROFILE

I enjoy playing and creating games (mostly RPGs) and have a love of story and characterisation above graphics. I've been into RM* since '96 and have used all makers - started on the PSX makers, found and used a patched version of the SNES RM, then moved to RM95. When I found RM2K I finally decided to join some forums and I've been a part of the community ever since.

Ello!

Welcome, kiddo. Used to play golf when I was about your age. ^.^
Hope you post here a lot and have a ton of fun.

I wasn't meaning to 'shove it down your throat'. I just quoted it 'cause I thought it'd be easier to bold it. Sorry if I gave that impression. ^.^;

Back OT.

I was also thinking about a game set in one town where every day a person disappears and all the memories of that person also vanishes. Then have 2 points of view - the first of a person in the town who remembers that someone close to them vanished and tries to find them. The second, one of the vanished who managed to return and is trying to restore the lost memories.

I thought it'd be interesting, but I'm too caught up in RealmS to bother with it.

Hello, I'm new to these forums; I'm Ironwing. I've always been a fan of video games (particularly RPG's), and I wanted to make my own. I have RPG Maker 3, but it's outdated and awful. I'd like to get a computer RPG Maker sometime (XP or newer) and try my hand. That being said, for now I have only ideas. This topic is where people can bounce ideas; sometimes the unlikeliest concepts can fit well together.

For a city at the beginning of an RPG (or in the middle), I thought of this: a city of ships bound together, constantly traveling at sea. There are residential ships, market ships, farming ships (for crops/livestock, deep ships filled with fertile land), etc. A local legend says this ship city began when an entire navy abandoned its home country. That legend also says that this ship city supposedly houses some secret. This ship city and its people haven't seen or been on land for centuries.

I can think of a lot to do with this concept. How about you guys?

You made me think I'd read wrong for a second there. ^.^

It actually reminded me of one of China Mieville's novels about a floating city. (It was a good book.)

As for an idea...
Mobile Wars! Probably better as a side-game (like blitz-ball or chocobo breeding) in a modern game. Collect different mobile phones and upgrade them with the hippest tunes, coolest looks and best tech. Then enter the battles to see whose mobile reigns supreme!

Tag me. ^.^ Realms Shattered >>> HERE
It's a short demo - RPG with RTP coolness and lotsa shmex appeal. >.< Minus the shmex.

Topic link is in my sig if you want to see screenies.

[DEMO] RSDVI: The Realms Shattered

Thanks, LWG. I'll look into those errors. (I forgot about the Lien/Narissa name one ^^; )
If you want to fix it really quickly, just go to the map editor, map under the maps and delete the event that should be black. (Near the top of the map) Or just add said file. ^.^

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Suikoden Tierkreis. It's not as bad as I thought it would be - helps that I went in to it with very low expectations. Sure, it doesn't feel like a Suikoden, but I'm putting it in the same category as Tactics and the Gaidens - separate from the main 'story' of Suikoden, but still a part of it.

So I'm enjoying it thus far (around half way point at the moment.)

Released! - Legionwood

I've been playing this for a while and really enjoy it (after I realised whey it was lagging so much on my computer ^.^). Everything just comes together really well, though the battles can be quite long, even if the monsters are just normal ones.
I like the battle system itself, and the level up system. They add a bit of customisation to the game which is great.

Released! - Legionwood

So far it's pretty fun. I've hit a problem in the well sewers, though (first town - wing mini-quest). I can't seem to get to the second switch. It seems to be on its own little 'island' and the way is blocked by broken ground and water. How do you get there?
