Greenhouse (New)
The greenhouse, in combination with the barn and the crafting system, is used to create foods. Consuming them grants the playable characters temporary elemental resistece, increased elemental damage, stat increases, or condition immunity.
Its like optional grinding, or a minor cheat system you actually have to work for. (Since there is no way to actually grind to increase your level, since the game has a levelup system like Zelda games, so you only get upgrades for defeating bosses or discovering hidden stuff)
It is indeed entirely custom and almost fully done in Ruby/RGSS3. Its actually pretty simple and requireds little time for the implementation of new crops, when compared to the old system I used, which was mostly (common) event based.
For the display I use bitmap blocktransfer to the lower and upper parallax layers and the collision is done with ~15 lines of code in a modified game map method.
The only scripts I use that aren't custom are a parallax and a bitmap/png file creation/storage one. (I could write the parallax one on my own, but its pretty simple, so if there were any problems I could fix or replace it. As for the other one, thats a bit tricky, but in case of a bug I could prbably fix it, or if not just leave the script out, since its only part of a very optional feature.)

Yeah keeps the wordplay without the possible confusion.
Actually changed it a while ago, but for some reason the system here saved the old version of the image and only displayed that one for the preview picture, so I uploaded it under a new name.

Of course, it's not as pathetic as Neo-Nazi websites renaming themselves into his #1 fansites (which just shows how irrelevant actual Nazism is, thankfully) but it's close.
You mean the Daily Stormer?
That's "The World's #1 Wall Street Journal Fansite".
And while we list credible news sources, have you heard of The Onion?
It's "America's Finest News Source".
Those facts? You might wanna get them checked. Sorry to say, but god emperor Trump (or as we like to call him: El Presidente) might be onto something when he talks about "fake news".

Yeah.
Also from Star Fox 64, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Pokémon, Guild Wars (& implicitly Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy), Star Trek, Terra e, Stellvia of the Universe, Babylon 5, Asterix, That Mitchell and Webb Look (and allusions to some American Comedians), The Batman TV series of 1966, some Cartoons, Dance Dance Revolution/Guitar Hero, the bible, etc.

Did change the title slightly from "saints" to "saviors", it keeps the wordplay, retains revelance to the story and probably won't lead to as much confusion.

Actually,
it's kind of a reference to what “Gödel Escher Bach” did with its subtitle “An Eternal Golden Braid”, except that I thought I'd just 1-up Douglas Hofstadter by actually keeping the order of the first letters of the words the same in the title and the subtitle.
I needed a subtitle, because I decided to split the game. So now it's:
Ludus de Sophia – Latter day Saints
and
Ludus de Sophia – Large dark Space
The story is kind of a modern fairytale and a meta myth with eastern and western influences.
Heck, I even kinda start like the bible. (“In the beginning was the word” word = logos ; and the ingame villan first introduced is Sogol who's name is the ananym of Logos)
Then the game makes a dive into buddhist mythology by putting the main characters against 3 mercenary leaders representing Death, Sickness and old Age. (Tod der Unsterbliche, Sicko Plaguebearer and Methusela Bejaarde)
So yeah, “Modern Saints” as a description for the main characters sorta applies.
And last but not least, I actually like the Mormons.
Most of them are very nice and polite people, or at least those I met, which is pretty much only their 2 pair, run of the mill youngsters/Missionaries.
Plus their believes are absolutely hilarious, but they do partially fit the themes of my game, or at least those that coincide with trans-humanism. (Not that other religions aren't funny, but those usually have the sands of time blending the eyes of the believers and have been established for centuries. I mean, the mormons even have a 19th century book, written in 16th century English, by a convicted fraudster, but they still believe in the damn thing. Which is a completely different topic because I think part of what made it so appealing was that it WAS written by someone with a good understanding of the human psyche. Fraudsters do know that, at least to successful ones.)

No, not mine, they have been made by pbjelly246.
(Have her added as artist on the game page, but I guess I should have added it into the description too.)

@Frogge: Looks pretty good, though there is one minor detail that caught my eye:
Those more or less random 3*3 Tile rails in the mine. I'd either get rid of them, or extend them and make the entrances bigger to fit them, cause right now they look somewhat missplaced.
@Topic: Got some shiny new character portraits for cutscenes and the title, credits go to pbjelly246:
