@Deckiller: Looks pretty solid to me, not too big, no too small, not cluttered either. You could add different height levels to the path to mix things up a bit, but thats just an option (and I only mention it since I my self have a tendency to build "flat" maps).
Otherwise keep up the good work.

Here is a preview of the new battlesystem. (still WIP) The battlesystem plays in semi real time, with time stop during skill/item selection, attack animation display and upon pressing a button.

The red circles indicate if a character is currently the target of a attack in preperation (The more red circles, the more attacks target the character) the white bars below the character indicate how far his next attack has been prepared.

Those two tells helps with applying protection to a character that is the target of a spike, or helps noticing and interrupting powerfull AoE attacks or enemy group heals.

Skills can also be put into a queue, allowing you to prepare chain attacks at one point in time and have them executed as soon as your character has the required energy and the skill is fully recharged.

Seriously though, mainly because RPGmaker was my introduction into game making and because of the assests that come with it (RTP, especially that of XP) since I suck at the arts part.

I remade the portrait of Shango pretty much from scratch, I think its gotten a lot better when compared to the original:

He (Shango) got outlines, but you are right, they are not that visible since they are not that dark. I'll correct it, thank you for the reply, always nice to get valid feedback on how to improve elements of the game.

The underwear is deliberate though, as is the stance, I was aiming for a superman esque over the top posure.
Those Wings are a giant axe. (Hence his last name "Labrys")

Edit: Done, the portrait screenshot and header has been updated. The video will stay as it is, I am going to reerecord most videos anyway once I get the game into a demo ready state.

Working on Character Portraits to combine the Face, produced with MV faceset generator, with a suiting body, which is reeaally hard since I never drew more than Stick figures or at best an somewhat unrecognisable apple in school (Took drama/theater classes instead of art as soon as I could.)

Also in the midst of overworking the second part of my intro and including a bar brawl minigame.

This was an outdated version of the room. The flasks and potions as well as the coffin in the upper left room have now been replaced. (I credited ZanyZora for those but then later found him on the rpgmakerweb blacklist, so I replaced the items in question.)
