Resources for Save Points - rmxp

Hi there.

Does anyone know a resource for save points. I've indicated above that I'd prefer them for rmxp.

I find the magic star symbol a bit too large which is in the rtp. Otherwise I'd probably be going with that.

Starting a new game - Need help with a name (rmxp)

Seeing that it's becoming more Final Fantasyish by the day. I now have the next town they are going to named "Poft" and the excessive use of magic causes the surrounding environment to deteriorate.

What do you think I should call it to link it to Final Fantasy? I was thinking along the lines of this rm2k one I've played which was "Final Fantasy: Endless Nova"

1. I guess the main points of the game is that the king has released monsters from the underworld.

2. He turned his council mage in to a monster as well and thinking that because he killed her and then turned her in to the monster, she doesn't have her soul anymore, but she does.

3. They encounter her several times and one the third one, she begs them to kill her because she's disgusted about being resurrected like this

4. They attempt to find a way to break it and find a priestess who knows a way to reverse the spell.

5. There will be two ways to be able to do it. They can either take the quick and easy approach and just get the monster curse lifted or they can find the ingredients to make an item which will work like the Klatchian Coffee out of the Disc World books. (It not only cures drunkeness but takes the user right through sobriety and out the other side) in other words she'll become the opposite to the monster she was turned in to and become a Paladin/Mage type character. This will be a challenge/time consuming as the items required will be rare drops, but it will be well worth it.

6. They make their assault on the castle at the beginning of the game where the king is holed up. The king has finally turned himself in to a monster and the final battle begins. After that, the mage, whether she has become the Paladin/Mage or not help them finally destroy the portal and ending the plague of monsters.

Of course, I'll flesh the story out a bit to keep it interesting but that is the main events.

Hope this didn't ramble on too long.

Thanks Trihan. I opened up a new game to see how it works and I have to set attack power to a negative value.

Oddly enough. I solved the problem by having an event command telling it to change the character's Battler image. After I did that, then it appeared.

I'm interested about the face sets, I didn't know you could do them with this one.

Thanks for the help on the characters bulmabriefs. I was wondering if you guys could also tell me how to make a healing spell. I thought I'd made one until my white mage began killing everybody with cure!

Main Hero's Battle Character won't display

Every other heroes appear but his doesn't. I've got one selected for him in the actors section.

Also. Is there a way to have your other hero's appear when they're having conversations etc with out churning through hundreds of switches/variables?

Starting a new game - Need help with a name (rmxp)

No, this isn't going to be Captain Planet. Even though I was thinking of making a fangame of it not long ago. I'd actually thought of this game, then I got bored, and now I've started from scratch again.

The characters are going to based from people I knew in high school but changing their names to keep their privacy. I'm a big fan of fantasy games so I thought about what each one might have as their elemental affinity, only one of them won't have elemental and she'll be focused on status magic.

I know that this game is going to seem very Final Fantasyish but I don't really want to use the title. Even a Beatrix type battle is going to be in it when you fight the King's mage who he kills when he doesn't like the idea of her blowing the whistle on his schemes and then resurrects her back as a monster to do his bidding.

It's likely going to end with them returning to the castle dungeons where the portal has been built and somehow shutting it down. I'm only working with a rough plan right now but it will get better as it comes along.

Do you think the portal should be mentioned in the title? I know it's going to be very brief but it's really what starts the whole mess that their world is in.

Sorry if this isn't the right forum for this, I didn't know where we are supposed to put things like this.

I'm starting a new game called (currently) The Planet Guardians.

It's intro pretty much follows Final Fantasy II where the king has instructed his mages to open a portal to the underworld so he can summon an army of monsters. The main character is oblivious to his schemes until the librarian who he works for in the royal library turns in to a harpy type creature and attacks him.

He meets up with a woman in the library and it is revealed during the battle that she can use fire magic. She'll take him to meet others like her and start out on a quest to defeat the king and his hordes of evil.

I'm welcome to any suggestions on a bit more of an interesting name.

This game is going to include elements from Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II and most of the soundtrack from Final Fantasy IX. I'm only going to use one piece from II as I'm trying to help it all tie together by limiting myself to IX's soundtrack.

Help with moving events.

I've solved the problem. I shifted all parts after and including the movement of Hero 2 (Now known as Rochelle) to Rochelle's event. After I did that, it all worked fine.

I don't think that the animation complete idea would've worked. I already used the wait until all events have finished (what ever it's called) command. It seemed to think it had already done it's animation and cruised right on ahead with the dialogue.

Help with moving events.

I've got problems again with one of my characters. It's the red haired girl over in the corner. When it performs her movement event, she only moves one square and then the dialogue begins. What do you think is going wrong? I haven't interfered with the movement properties of the tiles in anyway and everybody else moves fine. Here's an image so you can see what the event looks like. She's "Hero 2" in the events.
