[Poll] Final Fantasy IV After Years

Voted for the "Okay" option. Just felt it was filled up by having repeated boss battles (Octomammoth I'm looking at you), and some of it just seemed rather pointless. There just didn't seem to be much of a plot going on.

I would've preferred a more traditional plot like in most of the Final Fantasy games instead of having to play through the scenarios of how many different characters, when really all I wanted to know was what the mysterious girl was up to. I eventually just looked at a guide on GameFaqs to get the gist of what happened afterwards, and finding out it was mostly just a long string of boss battles, I felt I couldn't really be bothered.

Hi Old Timer

Thanks for your notes. I'm going through them now.

  • The balcony south of the throne room was an idea I had at the beginning, but I never removed the doors leading to it. I've now removed them
  • I can't see why the Ringing Geode wouldn't appear in the item list. According to the database, it's meant to be visible.
  • The houses in Kalbany - It just happened to turn out that way, I don't have too much in the imagination department when it comes to the floor plans. :)
  • The save crystals - I've found out what the problem is. If you cancel out of the menu when interacting with one, it defaults to the option as if you used a camping kit.

I'll be fixing the balcony issue, and the save crystals. Hopefully I'll have the update up sometime tomorrow.

Cheers

I appreciate the posts, and thanks for playing the game thoroughly. I didn't realise I hadn't blocked access to the mines! I've put up an update which fixes the issue.

Getting three screenshots out of a one map game

Thanks for the responses. Glad to know that it's likely nothing to worry about.

Getting three screenshots out of a one map game

Asking because I'm working on a simulation game (which is a bit of a first for me) based off the old game, Capitalism. Basically, buy resource manufacturing facilities and then sell the finished products, and beat the AI to the end goal.

Just fishing around for ideas as I know that three screenshots are the minimum requirement for submitting a game here, but it becomes a little challenging when it's only one map, and quite a tiny one at that, almost as small as a map can get. It's just a short game, will probably take about half an hour to play at the most.

I was thinking of dialogue showing the requirements for purchasing one of the facilities, an image of the shipping screen (it's nothing fancy), and possibly the screen which will show how you stack up against everyone else.

Thanks for the error report, I've fixed it and will be uploading an updated version shortly.

Hi MoonWolfV,
The game blocks on a black screen when I try to sleep in Berylustyr Inn (I keep access to every activated menu options, but cannot quit the inn). Is it a glitch? What do I wrong?
Thank you for your help,

Old Timer

Hi there, I think I know what's wrong. There was a command for the screen to "fade out", but I forgot to include the "fade in" command. I'll test it later on today, but I think this is what the problem was.

Thanks for bringing this up.

Does removing a game remove it's profile page as well?

Thanks for the info Liberty.

Does removing a game remove it's profile page as well?

Didn't really know where to put this as this is a bit of a weird/uncommon question.

Some might know that I have two games called "A Celestial Weapon" here, one being the original RM2K3 game, and the other being a remake and expanded upon version in MV. The reason I'm asking is because I'm planning on putting the MV version on Steam sometime soon/later this year, but I'm aware of the complications which could arise having the original here, as well as the MV Version (I'll change it to Commercial setting when it gets to Steam, and remove the download) as I don't want the public to get confused that I could be ripping off the original when in actual fact I'm the same guy who made both of them.

So to make this a bit more clear and avoid confusion, I'm thinking of removing the original game sometime soon. Just wondering if removing the game will remove it's profile page as well?

Cheers

Hi there

You have to interact with the wall in front of the switch, Gary will then fire an arrow at it. That one across the river will be of use later in the game. Hope this helps.
