Recently Watched Movies

Haven't watched many films lately despite having about 240 in my collection (dvd & bluray). I usually watch them when I'm doing some leveling up, or something else mindless, in a game.

Went out to the movies to see "Josee, the tiger, and the fish" last month, though. I was always like going out to see an anime film.

How to make a Skill that makes you immune to other certain Skills?

I've made something similar to this in a project where a character could be inflicted with vampire status and therefore can't be healed using healing items or magic.

It's done as a status effect, so it can easily be set to wear off in a number of turns. I know it's not absolutely perfect for what you're doing as they can still be targeted, but it will have no effect on the target.

Make the status effect, and then under traits put in

SP-Parameter: Recovery Effect 0%

This way, no healing items or healing magic will have any effect.

Hope this helps.

A Celestial Weapon: MV Edition

It's a bug. I didn't realise the image file was missing. I've put a file "Bryson Dead" in the downloads which you can then put in to the following location. This will save you having to play through the whole game again just to get to this point. The main download has also been fixed.

This should fix the problem, but please get back to me, and let me know if it helped you or not.

I appreciate the feedback.

What Microsoft Font would sum up 1990's for you?

Yeah, I know. I do admit that it fits the time, but it doesn't seem right for this. I know that there will be plenty of references to the cartoon, but I mean it to be a bit more serious than that.

Thanks for commenting anyway.

I've decided to use CENA Thin. It looks 90's enough, but doesn't look like Comic Sans.

What Microsoft Font would sum up 1990's for you?

Reason I'm asking is that I'm making a Captain Planet tribute game, so I want the text to look like it's fitting in with that time. I'm hopeless at drawing text freehand. I'm leaning towards "Impact".

The title screen is shown below without any text. It's tag line, as will be seen going through the list of games will be, "Captain Planet without the Captain". The title of the actual game is going to be "Saving the Planet: 90's style"

The planeteers (or whatever they'll be called) are shown below. Heart has been dropped, and Ice and Lightning have been added.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Making a start on a Captain Planet inspired game. Planning on having Chrono Trigger type skills where there are dual and triple techs.

Zelda series - Would I like them?

Hi Darken

Thanks for the response. Like I said, I'd only played the first one, and found it too difficult. Seems like I'll enjoy LTTP and onwards.

Zelda series - Would I like them?

I'm trying to find some new games to play on my Switch but I find it very hard to find games I actually end up liking.

I've played the original NES Zelda and I found it extremely hard and confusing, dropped in the middle of nowhere with no clue what to do. I know that games back then were extremely hard compared to what they are now.

When was the point that they started to become easier in difficulty? I generally play games more for fun than for a challenge.

If there are other ideas for games outside of the Zelda series, please mention those as well. Below is a list of games that I do enjoy playing.

Final Fantasy (I - XII
Chrono Trigger
Stardew Valley
Any Pokemon Game (Mainline or Spin-off), I've already got Pokemon Shield, Let's Go Eevee, and Mystery Dungeon DX
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
Commander Keen Episodes 4 - 5 (Has to have in-level saving)
Grandia
Western RPGs (Not Skyrim, I've played it too many times)
Puzzle games like Mousecraft (used to play Lemmings years ago)

A Celestial Weapon: MV Edition

She learns a few spells which target all enemies, but "fire all" etc, aren't these. She only gets "fire all" when her HP is at critical levels. I've sent you a PM with further details. Not shown here, as this would probably be considered spoilers.

I'm glad that saving and then reloading seemed to help with the problem. I don't know what's causing this, as when I tested it from beginning to end, I didn't encounter anything like this.

Bear in mind that a lot of plugins are present in this game, some involving the targeting of enemies and allies, so this could be causing this glitch at times.
