The Highlander's Tomb (Team Forum RPG)
Well, blast! No bolts at all? Then I'll have to be very economical with the 10 bolts I currently have...
I ask the shop owner: "How much do crossbow bolts cost? I mean, as soon as they are available again. And how expensive is your light armour set? Oh, and what would it cost to have a hatchet made here? You know, one of those small axes that can also be thrown? I'd like to have some sort of emergency weapon."
--------
I guess the actions we take inside the shop do not count as complete turns, right? At least, i hope so.

I try not to let it show too much that I'm extremely creeped out by that unnaturally intelligent child. After staring into the air for a few seconds, I manage to collect my thoughts and say: "Eh... well, so that's arranged, then? We all agree to go to the weapons and armour shop, then. Onward!"
P.S.: seiromem, do I currently have any bolts for my crossbow at all? Because if not, I'm definitely going to buy a whole lot of them now.

Sheesh, talk about bad luck... Anyway, glad to see you're still with us, Gourdy. Welcome back to the team.
Fundamental RPGology
Haha, that's cool! The current top comment even explicitly mentions the German Pen&Paper system "The Dark Eye"! My submission, believe it or not, is actually based on a campaign I played with friends in exactly that game system. I even called my project "The Campaign".

In response to Razuna's comment from before: "Good, let's hope so."
Then, turning towards the paladin: "Right. Good thinking, Wes. Though I was about to suggest that, after we've bought equipment at the weapons shop, I and maybe Razuna go hunting in the forest for a while. I've done that a few times before on missions when supplies were short. That way, we could gather some food for free and maybe even sell the hides for some extra funds. And perhaps we'll find some edible plants as well."
Answering Razuna's suggestion: "Hm, that building looked abandoned. You think maybe someone left something useful there?"

how can i add a state when another state goes away
Look, if these states are supposed not to change during battles but only after moving on the map, you can simply do it by using a Common Event set on parallel process which counts down a variable for each character. The base of this is using the Step Count as a variable. You don't need any scripting for that, and I'm not sure why you seem to be so fixated on doing it that way if you can just solve your problem with some clever eventing. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit more.
In case you want something different than what I described, you'll have to give more information about what effects you want your system to have. Nobody will be able to help you if they don't know what exactly it is you want to do.

I hate hospital visits
Well, I'm always glad there at least is a hospital you can go to when something happens. I would be a lot worse if those places didn't exist, even though probably nobody likes to be there for obvious reasons.
Anyway, I really hope your father is going to be well soon. Good luck (and lots of patience) to you both

A very brief smile appears on my face. "Why, thank you. You'd be fine with having a woman be in charge of this group? Seems like some of you demon folk have a lot more brains than many humans after all.
Though I don't think we really need a "leader" in the typical sense. We all have very different talents, so for efficiency's sake the one in charge should always be the one who knows what they're doing. I mean, I do know what I'm doing right now, but let's say we come across some magical barrier or something. Then it'd probably be up to you and the paladin to decide what to do. I think who gives the orders should really depend on the situation. After all, we're not soldiers, right?
