D'you ever look back at your old projects. And your eyes instinctively want to fly out of your sockets and roll away from sheer embarrassment?

Well. I never thought of it like that. I'm the kind of person who is kept awake at night by every stupid thing he's ever done. Like the ghosts if cringemas past, present, and quite possibly, future.

I'll give that a try, thanks for the advice.

Was this more what I should be going for? With darker tiles on the floor and lighter tiles for the more elevated parts?

Just working on the next area for my game. I am really bad at mapping deserty-canyony types. So any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

It's worth noting that I am trying to adhere to a map already used in SaGa Frontier 2 in lieu of the limitations of RM2K3.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Just solo'd a DLC boss on Dark Souls 2, and now working my way through Anal Rodeo on Dark Souls 1. Quite hyped for the Dark Souls 3 DLC. I'm also thoroughly enjoying Mankind Divided, and every now and then I give Minecraft a whirl.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

I'm just working on the next dungeon on Steel Spirit SaGa, after taking too long a break. The next dungeon is a desert canyon area, and I suck at mapping deserts and canyons...

How much can does a Name affect a game?

Just responding to something Marrend said. Steel Spirit SaGa is a fan-sequel to SaGa Frontier 2.

Though I am learning a lot from this topic, as I always seem to have trouble coming up with names for my games. I also want to become an author, and I struggle to come up with names for my book ideas also.

How much can does a Name affect a game?

It's all about first impressions. If it were a game on the shelf in your local video game retailer (or steam), the first thing you'd see is the name and the front cover. I've always been on the look out for interesting names of games, films or books. But I didn't really grasp the effect of a name until I saw Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, it's a mouthful, yeah, but it's off-putting in a way that makes the player want to see what it's about. So while I agree with SnowOwl that Black/White: Renegade can be seen as not overly memorable. The Bamford Tenement is a title that oozes intrigue.

Though while this never really occurred to me, and forgive me for asking, but as far as a title goes, how does Steel Spirit SaGa sound as a game title?

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

I see. sorry I thought you did it. I didn't read it properly. I'm still waking up.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Well... for someone who's not a spriter that's some damn fine work.

What are you jamming to?

I love Future Girlfriend!

I wasn't too keen on this to begin with, but it grew on me.
