Ethereal Dreams

I apparently typo'd when I changed the link when we changed domains. The download page link should work now. If not, you can also try Here.

I feel bad because I don't think I'm ever going to play more than the first five hours or so of Vesperia I played at a friend's house. There's no point buying a gaming system for one game though.

Like others, been playing Xillia since release. I'm about 3/4s done a second playthrough now. I think Graces had the superior battle system, but I do enjoy the story/characters of Xillia more. I won't be pulling the no exp highest difficulty stuff I did with Graces for Xillia, I know that.

It is entirely custom. If I remember correctly, I wrote all the scripts for this game. As a result, everything is integrated right into the basic scripts and nothing is releasable.

In some strange nostalgia-fueled craving, I started up a new playthrough of Atelier Iris 2 last night. It's really funny to see how much influence this game had on the first game we made.

Hoorah for the time when PS3s still had backwards compatibility <3

What does it matter which one is a girl?

Hint: Look for pronounced eyelashes.

Winter Blossoms

Pretty much. Ethereal Dreams is still the big monster that will happen once we have enough experience and the second half of Castle Chase 2 has just been a giant confusing mess that we still need to figure out.

This one will be longer than our other complete games, but still on the short side. It's another go at improving our weaker areas.

Winter Blossoms

It's still relatively early in development content wise. The plot outline is complete and all the game systems are in place, so now it's just a matter of database, maps, and assets. And then our usual polish, polish, polish and test, test, test.

The goal is to have a demo out by late-Summer (late-August to mid-September), but it's not close enough to set any dates or anything. It will be a fairly substantial demo, three areas of a planned seven or so. We'd love to have the entire thing done by winter, but it's unclear presently how feasible that is.

I'll be posting a blog about some of the gameplay elements before the end of the week, but I will gladly answer any questions about the game at any time.

What are your game completion habits?

I'm worse than I used to be for sure, but I still have a relatively high completion rate. I'd say I beat 95% of the games I pay over $20 for, though I could care less about "Platinuming" them or anything like that. Some of those goals are just not fun, so why do something you're supposed to be doing for fun that's just not? I only buy full-priced games maybe three times a year now though.

Games I buy at a whim just because they're cheap though? Those are probably about 50/50.

@SmileWithStyle: Yeah, clickers are rough. I think all my deaths were to them for at least the first third of the game. They do get easier though (until they don't...) I knew I wouldn't be great at the game, so I went pfft, who needs pride, and just went with easy from the beginning. I still die quite a bit, but it keeps it down to just the hard segments or when I do something stupid.

Needless to say, I'm still playing The Last of Us. Finally getting a chance today to sit down and play for more than three hours at a time. And man, did I pick a good spot to actually have time to devote to it. I was so glued, I could not look away.
