The Screenshot Topic Returns
Due to some mildly growing popularity with my "sucks you in" tower defense game, I decided to give it a green light and rework it. This actually didn't turn out to be that bad of an endeavor, and here's a screenshot of the progress:

Hold the Line! Review
Hey, you've inspired me to work on an updated version of this game!
It has:
map scrolling w/ mouse.
6 levels. (2x more)
updated graphics.
optimized code (=more stuff on screen).
200 enemy survival mode.
more songs, rather than just one repeating.
better enemy health bars.
tweaks to the balancing (much easier to begin with so that higher waves are reached a little sooner).
right clicking on an enemy will force-fight that target. (useful for sniper).
rocket launcher turret.
It might have:
bosses.
more 'spells' (if you didn't notice them before). I might remove them altogether.
more turrets (hard to come up with interesting ideas b/c these five are balanced fairly well).

Thank you. I'm very much appreciated that you made a second review for this game!!!
It almost makes me want to do a follow up where I address all of the concerns and add more units and levels (which I had always planned to do but then got sidetracked, and released it anyways).
Its also an older game of mine and I know I could do much better today. :)

@Radnen: is that from Age Of Empires?
Inspired by AOEII. However, I'm coding everything and my brother is making the 3D models. We're using XNA to make the game.

I took a break from my other games to work on this:

With my brother. I hope to flesh it out and create a nice RTS system out of it.
(The game profile, once accepted, which it WILL, says 'custom' but is indeed made with XNA).

My Opinions
XP or Sphere?
Sphere I should add is not built for RPG's like RPG maker is (hence the name's emphasis on RPG's).
Sphere is like an anvil, so nmost things would be made from scratch. (Whihc isn't that bad, its like saying there aren't any stock systems which most creative types ditch anyways).
Where Sphere fails at is integrating database management with the editor. RPG maker does it better because it focus far more on RPG's and the constituent elements: enemies, attacks, items, spells, players, all of which would need to be pre-considered in Sphere.

I appreciate your review of this game and the score is better than I expected.
The "rate" refers to the time between shots, so a lower rate meant shorter time between bullet fire. So I should have called it "cooldown".
I was going to expand on this but had a lot going on. Though the future does look a bit bright for this game.
Well deserved and thank you! :)

Event/Article Subscriptions
rcholbert: I think you're not getting it. These events are subscribed to you automatically. I'm still getting notices from the Game Chill compo back in '09, and all I'm getting are bots and people asking why no one has done anything about it.
So do something about it!
Old, old, old event's comment boxes should be locked. That would also remove the notices too. Otherwise its getting a bit annoying.
