The Screenshot Topic Returns

Fair enough.

Specifically, what's the worst offenders (feel free to doodle all over the screenshot)? If I had to guess, I'd say that blue roof is a bit weird, and the white pane esp has to go. Dunno what to replace it with. But I'm certain there's others.

Also, I'm gonna try to fix that middle walling on the chipset. The wood part of the house and the one right next to it.

The house in the top left looks photoshopped in. The rainbow tree is flat and pretty ugly, so it would benefit from some shading, and perhaps a more vibrant and real rainbow colouring to get the point across. The walls of the house with the blue roof are flat as well, and don't work with the shading of the area. The other two houses could use some cleaning up, especially with how their shaded (the red roof and the stone wall look wrong). You might also want to clean up the harsh black edges near the cliffs.

I can't believe you found a rip of those green (Rudra?) tiles. Back when I still used ripped graphics I was looking for those everywhere, since they were paired with a really nice battle backdrop.

Nothing in that first chipset fits together, and don't say that it's okay just because it's a dream world. Even dreams are coherent if they're strange. There's just too many different styles going on in one place.

The Sims 4

Maybe I'll do with this what I did with Animal Crossing, and play the newest one a billion years after having played the original, with nothing in between. That could be pretty fun.

I'm a huge fan of Sim City 3000, and play it even now, but I haven't touched the Sims or any other Sim game in ages. I remember having fun with it though.

Nice, I love stories that take place over a long period of time. Lots of opportunity for character development.

Character art!

Those look great, especially the pirate and the big shielded guy. Forgive me for not knowing their names.

Gameplay Dialogue

I know that Tales of Vesperia has a conversation during the start of almost every boss fight, usually continuing on from the pre-battle dialogue. I thought that was a nice touch. It's a shame that you don't see people doing more of this kind of thing, and I honestly can't even think of one example of a game on here that includes it. Even more so, I can't think of any game that has shopping dialogue.

You've gotten it into my head now, so I may try to do something with it. It's a little more difficult to pull off well without voice acting, though.

I've been playing around with getting a decent water reflection on the go in 2k3. I think I've gotten it pretty well done. All I need to do now is add all the miscellaneous trinkets to this tile set and it should be finished up.

Cancelled Projects - Graphics Repository

This is weird. They should probably be here, unless I cleared them out of my locker or something. I guess you can delete this? I don't much feel like compiling all that crap again.

Adventure in Violet

Unfortunately a lot of the problems that you've been having with the engine are hard to alleviate. It's not really an open engine as such, it's more of a straight drag and drop with no in depth editing, unless you want to get into coding custom enemies and shit- but at that point you could probably just go full board and make your own damn game.

I'm probably not going to mess around with Knytt Stories for a little. The way it is now, with the changes I want to put into Adventure in Aquamarine, it'll take a while to fix everything up. I'm not really up to that at the moment so I'm gonna leave it.

I think I'm probably going to try my hand at another RPG, see how that goes. Me and my partner are planning to make a fair number of platformers so we'll get a lot pf practice with it, but the small number of RPGs we want to do need to be really top notch, so I feel like I need to have a little practice with that.
