What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

So I tried playing Kid Icarus: Uprising for the first time a week or two ago. I think I'll trade that in on Link Between Worlds in November. People were right about the painful control scheme.

October is going to be a good month for gaming. I recently bought Knytt Underground, which is fantastic so far, and probably one of the best looking games I've ever played. In two or three days I'll have picked up my copy of The Wind Waker HD, and then around the middle of the month I'll be getting Pokemon X. So I'm happy to say that I'll be pretty stocked up with stuff to play.

To top it all off, I'm trying to beat Super Ghouls n' Ghosts in celebration of Halloween. SO that should be immensely painful.

Pom Gets Wi-Fi Review

I doubt we'll ever see another game reach this high of a download count again. You never know, though. Maybe (PewDiePie, was it?) will bring people in again. I'd prefer that it didn't happen though.

Game Trailer

I'm excited to play this.

All Hallows' Event 2013

Good luck to everyone!

This time around I may actually try to finish my entry.

Pom Gets Wi-Fi Review

This reminds me of when I gave Forever's End a bad score and then got accused of doing it simply to lower the average rating out of spite.

If you don't agree with the review then review it yourself and share your own opinion. Every game needs more reviews.

[Poll] All Hallows' Event II: Theme Poll

There was a DBS Code-Off for 2k3 a long time ago, wasn't there? It would be neat to see what people could do now with VXA and the other higher end RMs.

As for month long event games, I always thought the whole point was to either work as a team with a group of people, or to basically test your skill as a dev and see what you could pull off in a month. Mostly I thought it was just for fun, though.

Help me find / identify this old rpg maker game!

You might have more luck asking here. The people that would know about it are always around that thread.

Zephyr Skies: The Winter Sage

I'm really late for the party. But this game is wonderful.

Congratulations.

What is "nonfiction horror"?

Based on a true story.

I'm very happy with these results. Is it okay to mix a little? I've been planning on doing Ghost Stories, but my projects always have a comedic thing going on.

[Poll] How Much “Planning” Or “Prepping” Do You Do Before Starting Your Game(s)?

I'm not going to vote, because it's all over the board for me. Really, it's entirely dependent on how important the project is to me, and how finessed I want it to turn out.

I've been working on and off on NL for like 12 years now, for example. (Even though it's only gotten super serious in the last 3 years or so). A lot of our main projects that we're really excited about producing are about 2 or 3 years old. Then on the other end of the spectrum you have stuff like Pencil Perfect, which I spent like 2 days thinking about before I started putting stuff together.

So the short answer is that my/our projects can be anywhere from 2 days to 12 years old, with them being "planned" in various ways and concepts that entire time.
