I like how this thread doesn't have a title, just a series of tags.

As someone who FUCKING HATES MAPPING (incidentally, I never did work up the guts to check that thread after the OP, I was afraid that I was going to get torn apart after my initial rant)...I am very attracted to the idea of using backdrops as unique locations and a "node-map", a la Sacred Earth: Promise, so a sort of quasi first-person dungeon crawler approach which could be more or less Wizardry like as desired. I first saw this kind of approach (not very Wizardry but my main point is, no maps) in a game LouisCyphre was working on many years ago, can't remember the name.

I'm also experimenting with quasi-side-scroller like maps creating linearity. I'm not going as far as restricting the player to only moving left or right, but the maps should have the feel of a side scroller if I can get them right.

Genre: Traditional *fantasy jRPG with a fun dungeon crawl and a character based sense of humor.
Estimated length: One hour 15 minutes (based on the formula given).
Small description: FINALLY AN RPG WHERE YOU GET TO PLAY AS THE DRAGON!!! RTP land collides with *modern day Earth and hilarity/drama/violence/intrigue ensue. Izuno, a baby dragon, is sent by his master The Time Dragon to investigate a spacial anomaly at Voidsreach Tower. Along for the ride cause in-game reasons: Teos, a Chronomancer, Kara, a Princess from Fellgard seeking aid for her people's war, and Lydia, Dark Acolyte of the Ruby Goddess Lenore. Choose at game start if Izuno is a Flame, Frost, Forest, or Sky Dragon. Izuno can shift between dragon form and human form and NPCs treat him differently based on his appearance.
Special requests: I am very shy about video reviews, especially ones with any acerbic or merely impatient comments. They can make me feel like my game is getting roasted or riffed on sometimes. I'd love if the reviewer could focus on story, mechanics, and audio over graphics. This is not a terribly visually impressive game, using lots of RTP style assets, and a good review would help it more than releasing more screenshots. I am very proud of the characters and story, and I think the gameplay is pretty cool too, although later episodes will add more features. I generally prefer starred reviews to unstarred unless unstarred is being given in place to avoid giving a savagely low score. Thank you!

Anyone who reviews this game, I will review one of your games (two hours or less), offer is open to any and all comers (like if for some reason 12 people take me up on this, I will bite the bullet and write twelve reviews). I like to think I'm a tough but fair and I've been told very thorough reviewer.

It is WEIRD that you get notifications triggered by posts from users you've ignored! I think that'd probably be a good bug to fix.

Anyway yeah, I was surprised by the hostility, and when someone mentions smoking pot like it's a bad filthy thing that losers do that's pretty much an automatic block/ignore for me (one of very few things that will provoke that response from me).

It tells me this is a person who fundamentally cannot be reasoned with. Marijuana is a wonderful drug with enormous medical benefits, both psychological and physical published on extensively in academic and medical journals. As someone with both a serious chronic physical condition (I'd rather not specify) and someone suffering from mental illness, Mary Jane has been a life saver for me, quite possibly literally. Smoking weed every day is a healthy choice for me.

But in addition to its awesome medical benefits, pot it is a far safer drug than nicotine, alcohol (especially alcohol), and probably even caffeine, all of which are federally legal in the US. If you get hooked into smoking tobacco, I feel bad for you, because you're essentially locked into paying someone to slowly kill you for years and years. Thousands of idiots every year manage to drink themselves to death, mostly college students. I have personally experienced heart palpitations, faintness, and extreme dehydration from a miscalculated dosage of caffeine (one drug I have a very LOW tolerance to). It was legitimately a near death experience, and I am glad that there just so happened to be an Army medic freshly back from the Middle East who was used to dealing with soldiers with blown off limbs and stuff around to sit me down, calm me down, and hydrate me. On the other hand, literally no one has ever overdosed on cannabis in the history of history (and believe me, I've tried). And with the advent of edibles, even the lung-blackening effects of smoking anything are optional.

I can be friendly with pretty much anyone except people who hate weed or who voted for Trump and has no regrets about it. And honestly, I'd probably make more exceptions for the latter than the former. I'm a hardcore cannabis advocate.

FWIW I think I probably fall outside of Deadpool 2's "fanbase" as someone who does not really read comic books but that movie did a great job of keeping the lulz, the thrillz, and the feelz coming fast and furious. It's not like I saw it in the theaters or anything. I rented it from a Redbox for $1.75. I wasn't even expecting it to be good!

Final random thought: Deadpool 2 did not include a single instance of stoner humor or stoner pandering that I caught. Unlike say every single Judd Apatow/Seth Rogen movie.
