Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II
There's a point of no return in the final dungeon.
Although things are urgent, it acts a lot more like a broken map bug than an intentional point of no return; it's several maps after the previous boss fight, the warning text about the final boss appears a few maps later, etc. UPRC has been asked about it, but he seems to be taking an extremely well-deserved break.

Just be careful saving on the Ragnarok. You're fine clearing the 5 elemental areas, and a bit after - which is good, cause a lot of those hold ultimate weapons, insanely good materia, and are excellent spots to grind with multi-target elemental attacks. Once you've cleared all 5, make a backup save - you can go a bit further, even kill one more boss if I remember right, but you'll soon be trapped.

Hey, I like hearing "not until at least March".
Now whenever this game pops up the list, I won't spend a few seconds unreasonably excited that the update's out. For awhile.

You know, that's a good point. The Libra symbol that means one is weak to holy really does look like one is immune to ice instead. A lot of those symbols are confusing - maybe the alchemist guys could explain them too?

You have 3 good sources of holy magic, probably. Sapphire has the strongest spell from her quest in Zen, not to mention the holy scroll if mp becomes an issue. Izulde probably has his holy spell by now - and you more or less need his healing at this point anyway. And one of Zephyr's more recent summons (Chimera? I forget) is holy-elemental; more importantly, his Zuu summon will haste the whole party. 4th character should be whoever you've got built up to do the most damage; around this point I was able to give Jasmine a Genji Glove and 2 decent claws, and her 4 attacks per command were my best offense by far.
I believe you have airship access(?) - so you can pick up Zephyr's summons from the Augurer Colosseum if you're missing them. And buy some Elven Charms if you aren't already using them; speed is really key for everything. Every relic slot in my team not filled with running shoes, a genji glove or a gauntlet was an elven charm by this point.

@InvisibleDragon
I wasn't using Carby; I could have sworn he just did Shell. But then, I only used him once, anyway. Probably against something like Flare.
It's in the Berona Republic, an optional dungeon that doesn't appear until the 3rd world map. Somewhat hard to see on the world map as it is near ice. Inside, you may not realize you can jump on the grey things in the water either. It's on the boss, who is inside a chest.

Rivera's near the center of the map, northeastern Ivalice on a peninsula. She's on the east side of town. It's possible I told you the wrong name of the town :(
Also - Catobelpas summon? Did I miss one, or is it possible that you mean Carbuncle? I thought Carby was only Shell - which only raises Spirit - but maybe that helps resist berserk? I think Luck is supposed to resist status, and I wound up using 4 of the higher LUK characters... not that it ever resisted anything else that I noticed...

@Sinzar
Yup, last boss. I think being stuck on that part of the ship is a bug too? I only managed to beat Necron on 1.03, by abusing the unfixed Raven Twins - I have no idea how I'd beat him legitly without hitting like level 80 - when level 60 is more than enough for the penultimate boss AND the bonus superboss in Kusku Salar. I'd also swear that *my* ribbons are blocking berserk ... or that they used to in 1.03? Or that the Zero Bells I equipped in addition to the ribbons to block Stop also blocked Berserk?

Chocographs are in Hillsdale, aren't they?

Now that you mention it, that was the only boss other than the endgame ones that legitimately took me out. But just trying a second time knowing he meant business clenched it. I assume you've got Izulde up to snuff as a healer, with a strong X-Cure spell? If you do, probably the only other thing you can do is be faster than him. And Running Shoes are the cheapest prize at the Colosseum ... and by *far* the most valuable...
Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II
I too kind of wondered if there were multiple endings, and I'd stumbled my way into the bad one... but it is what it is, and still an interesting send-off to what turned out to be about a 90 hour epic of a series.

Weirdly my ribbons did prevent Berserk? I think? Something sure did for me; if not the ribbons, it'd be something weird like Haste or a Speed Plus materia preventing Berserk.
It was only the Stop ailment that was ever a problem for me on the final boss - and that's the only point status ailments were a problem at all through the entire game.
I actually went through most of Reiner's scenario with 2 characters auto-beserked - it would have been 3, but multi-hitting weapons become single-hitting under berserk for whatever reason, so Silas got to use the Atma Weapon. (The same only-single-hitting property holds true for Confuse, which is helpful!)

Is in Alexandria, the Mysidian quarter. (Well, I think it's Alexandria that has it. I saved past what appears to be an unintentional point-of-no-return in the final dungeon, so I can't check. Whichever city had the quarter.) A Graviton-cultist NPC just gives it to you for talking to him. Hence why I expected Dark Matter to be available much earlier!

I'm the one that said that. I'm not actually sure the Atma sword is in the Aether caverns. Somewhere around that stage of the game, though - as in "the only time I bothered using Silas".
Do note that you can find a Lionheart sword that is almost as good for Silas ; and that your other sword wielders may well prefer a sword with +Magic on it anyway.
The only truly indispensable, easily-missable item I located was the Dual-Wield materia, stolen from. That, a Genji Glove, and her two best weapons, and Sapphire was doing around 35,000 per attack command in the final dungeon! (And due to the way her magic scales, her ninja scrolls were competitive with Neo-Bahamut if they could hit an elemental weakness!) I never did find another copy of that materia, either ... and I was really hoping to, too, ready to dump Jasmine the instant I did.
