First of all, great job on replicating the mechanics so far. Really fun.
Two things: The character assets need to be in the same style, it drives me nuts (and I'm sure a lot of other people, too). Surely someone out there who's as big a fan as you would take up the task of spriting the roster? Second, gamepad support pleeeease. :D
Have you tried the MUGEN communities for spriting help? Some of those guys are insanely talented.

Very spacious. Cant wait to see the finished product.
For the most part, it's pretty wide open. It's a ranch, after all. I'm adding things here and there but I don't want to go overboard with it. I'll save that urge for any finishing touches I need to make on the Macalania Woods. Ha.
What exactly IS a dungeon?

Explorablearea = RE? I sure love to explore big cities and other RE free areas in games.
It's just what I personally refer to them as, I'm not saying that everyone should use that term and make it the standard.
What exactly IS a dungeon?
I always prefer to call any area within a game that has encounters with enemies an "explorable area" and everything else is either a town or city or outpost or what have you.

Mack, Celianna, and Lunarea's tiles fit in pretty well with the PSP ones. I'm glad for that, because FFIV:CC's tiles are pretty limited. Being able to use more of what's available and not having to draw our own tiles is a huge help.
This map is nearly complete. We still need to give it more plant life and shadow things properly, though. What's shown here is what it looked like after Paul and I both did our first attempts of work on it.

Is this going to be one big map or heaps of littel maps together and how wide by how long is it thanks.
Traveling between major areas is menu-based (once you've reached a certain point). You can instantly go from one place to another.
