There is one available, but its old. Would you still like the beta?

Looking good, but I think it would look much nicer with the rain coming into the foreground aswell.
I want to do that so bad. However, it would be over everything. Game Maker has a foreground option, but It would be best to find a custom way to do so. I'll look into it.

Thanks bud:) There is going to be a new video up soon as well as a playable 2016 revival demo where you can test out the new engine. Its not a finished product or anything so many things will be blocked off, but you will be able to get a feel for the new gameplay physics and all.

OpenGL! Shaders! Oh my!

Yeah, it's mostly custom. Kazesui wrote the base DynRPG plugin here: https://rpgmaker.net/engines/rt2k3/utilities/55/

... but I cleaned up a couple nasty bugs, added animated water tiles, background fading, support for vehicles (sort of), and maybe a couple other small things I'm forgetting. Vehicles were a big hassle, because I had to write a separate system for tank controls.

Ah, I see. Where have I been all this time? I would love to use this. Perhaps you could ask permission to post your edit of the engine with the bug fixes? I haven't tried it myself, but the engine itself looks promising. I'll definitely give this game a go.

OpenGL! Shaders! Oh my!

Is that mode 7 engine custom? I had no idea that was even possible in 2003. I like what I see.

Just Do It! - Anti-Procrastination Initiative

This is heavily interesting. I have fallen victim as well. Been a YouTube Junky all week long and haven't even touched my project. Help me!

Final Fantasy 7 Re-imagined

I have no idea if anyone has posted a topic about this game already, but here we go.
As a hardcore Final Fantasy fan and being relieved that Square Enix is finally remaking the Final Fantasy 7 after nearly 20 years, I happened to come across this game. If you are familiar with Dungeons and Dragons, this is a FF7 beat em up that pulls elements from the game and spreads it out into 12 stages.

You can play as Cloud and Tifa and equip Materia and more. The controls are a bit awkward though. I would get Joy2Key or a gamepad for this one.

This looks awesome, can't wait now. keep it up, I like the design layout, although the totems seem a little too high, apart from that, cool!

I'm glad to hear it bud:) And I'll fix the totem. I was trying to reach that giant totem you see in Generations. Perhaps making a big one instead of a tall one would be better.

Monster World Madness!!

Here seems like a good place to mention that SEGA Vintage Collection: Monster World is currently on sale on PSN. I believe this collection includes Wonder Boy in Moster World, Monster World 3, and Monster World 4. The Vintage Collections, from what I've seen of them, are extremely high quality ports.

e: Whoops, Monster World 3 is NOT part of that. It's Wonder Boy in Monster Land instead.
Also, yeah, these ports are by M2, so it's pretty top-notch in terms of accuracy and options regarding controls and screen adjustments etc. Plus, replays and a sound test!

Excellent Idea! I've seen the collection and plan on purchasing. It is only $10 I believe. You will get a collection of awesome games that adds new features as well. For all PlayStation 3 and XBox owners, I encourage you to buy it!
