While I've used RPG Maker for maybe 4 or 5 years now, I've never completed or published any RPGs. Hopefully, I'll be able to soon. If I ever do, feel free to say whatever you want about them. Note that I don't make them namely for a fanbase but more of for my own self-enjoyment, however, constructive criticism is always welcome.
Right now I have absolutely no inspiration for any future projects. I've juggled a few ideas for either new things for my current project (which is borderline hiatus right now) and new ideas but nothing is satisfying me -_-

The one thing of Maple Story that killed it for me was the community. I came back to it one time, and some random dude ignored me. Why? Because I didn't really know all the features in the game. I would've hit that person over the head with an activated chainsaw with a rusty chain if he was nearby...Too mean to him?
I think I had maybe one or two friends on MS. Everyone else either told me to "cc plz" or try and scam me/insult me/etc.
And is it just me, or did this topic turn into a discussion about MS.
I think it's safe to blame myself for this... I'm so horrible...

Oh don't get me started on how pissed I was at FFIII DS because of that stupid Moogle Mail...
On topic however, I've only done multiplayer twice, and it works pretty well. My only gripe is that they couldn't make it Wi-fi.
But yeah, it is hard to find people I know who actually own it though -_-

Well it was also the first rpg I ever played! And it took me three years to complete.. reason being I couldnt beat the second of the black waltz (I was age 11 at the time) so I just laid it to rest. 3 years later I thought to myself over a cup of coffee.. wait I can simply level up! So yep went and beated it after that.stupidtrue story.
So yeah back to ff7! BEST GAME EVVVVVEEEEERRR
That sounds a lot like my experience with Quest 64, except even I'll admit that FFVII is better then that game.

Just because a game isn't difficult doesn't mean it's not worthy of praise (Mother 3 for me was a cakewalk, and it rains as my favorite RPG ever). Granted I've never played FFVII and I personally think its hype is unjustified (simply because I'm annoyed as hell over it, although I really have no room to talk since I haven't beaten it.)
I guess it all depends on your preference. Just because some people say it's the best game ever doesn't mean you will as well (Plus the game I think is like 10+ years old, so I guess people had different difficulty standards then).

I don't know what free games their talking about; not once have I played an online game that featured broccoli or driving.
And I don't know why they bother portraying their banner using those Maple Story-eque graphics, because you have to try in order to have an online game worse than Maple Story.
And my God that guy on the porn banner gives me the creeps...

However, while on the topic of weird banner adds, Maple Story has a weird one that I see a lot on GameFAQs with that guy getting chased by monsters until he encounters the fabled "PooStick" that scares away the monsters and saves 10% of his exp, followed by the Maple Story logo that says to "Play now, press poo." Umm...
Yeah, when I think crap on a stick, I think of that Repellant Stick on Fallout 3 that instantly kills Mole Rats.
