I'm definetly gonna attempt something

What we did horribly on our first games.

I remember not being able to use switches and thinking I just had to keep creating new maps when anything changed. lol.

One of my earliest games was a game called "Past to Future", sometimes spelled "Past 2 Future". It was a game about a young boy who's teacher chooses you and a few others to go to the future in the time machine he just built. (it's never specified what exactly it is the teacher's teaching, but all of your classmates are warriors) Although this part of the game takes place in the 1600's, his time machine is located in a room with futuristic graphics. I actually had no idea how the story would unfold after this, but the young boy teleports into a spaceship called the "Electron" in the midst of a war sometime in the "3000's", and his portal to the past is "blown up" by enemy missles. He then teams up with two guys in trench coats who also appear in the game's intro.

After that, I actually completed a game titled "Alex the Adventurer" that starred every one of the default rm2k characters. I actually kept all of the characters on purpose. It's about 2 or 3 hours long and is a comedy game, and although I made it when I was 11 or 12, some of the npc's actually do have pretty funny dialogue. I played through it for the first time in years a few weeks ago and I found myself laughing at it's dialogue and overall stupidity.

The story line is perhaps one of the worst ever. When the game begins, the king tells Alex, a soldier, that he must deliver a package to the world capital. Before he leaves town he teams up with his perverted best friend Brian. When he tries to leave, he runs into "Warrior Brad", the red armored RTP soldier. He won't let you leave town due to a "thief problem" so you fight him and leave. As soon as you enter the world map, a thief steals your money and enters the town. You make your way through a forest and afterward a witch who "knows of the package". Later on you meet "Deiji the Crazy Priest", a retarded priest, and you get a boat and stop at a town called "Snow Pole" so Deiji can talk to his friend April. She tells you that inside of the package that you are carrying is actually an ATOMIC BOMB and the king wants it to create a "bigger" bomb.

After this you travel to the World Capital to kill the king, but as soon as you reach the castle, you get thrown in jail by Warrior Brad who now hates you. You escape the castle jail and you attempt to defeat the king. After the battle however, he sends you to ANOTHER jail to be executed and you escape AGAIN. Later on, after traveling back to your hometown to tell the other king about what has happened, you see the World Capital's king get killed by an evil RTP demon named Steve and you find out that you are the "chosen one" and you must kill him. Along the way you meet the rest of the eight default rm2k heroes, all of which have a gimmicky personality. There are some weird plot twists in this game, one of which is that Deiji the Crazy Priest is actually Alex's father and April is his mom. Another weird part of the game is that you're sent to the future to fight your great great great great great great grandson for no apparent reason.

THE BOOK OF THREE

Great game. I remember playing this 6 years ago and then reading the book after I finished it. The only difference I remember between the game and the novel is that one of the characters had a horse that wasn't in the game, I think...

@dethmetal: That's really good looking, love the multiple levels of elevation.

Chipset looks really good too, what's it from, or is it custom? It's hard to tell at that zoom level.
It's a Theodore chipset. I'll upload it for you if you like. It's very underused imo.
sure, would love to see it if you don't mind.

no problem; using the cliffs effectively is a little tricky at first though

I figured it was just an original project :P

@dudesoft - some of those charsets are a little mismatched. Some are a lot taller than others and it just looks sloppy. Adding to the sloppy look, it appears that you may have made them with the charset generator. Honestly I'd recommend using different ones..
