Honestly I think those charsets would fit in a lot better with the tilesets if they had black or almost black outlines.

I once made a game starring all of the default rm2k heroes, too, and I wanted to do it again and release it but you beat me to it. :P
RPG maker 2003 game
A long time ago, maybe back in 2003 or 2002, I played an rm2k game called "Super Smash Bros RPG" or something similar, starring Kirby.

I guess I should replay that.. never really got into it(!)
Like I said, it gets better as it goes on. The first episode is pretty weak, it really only serves as an introduction. There's a lot of foreshadowing too.
