The Looming Spire

Thank you much for the feedback, Darken.

The Void rune is supposed to work as sort of a gravity well, pulling movable objects nearer towards you. So in that puzzle, you're pulling the box towards you so it pushes down the switch to open the door. The game is definitely not clear on that, since you don't see any other movable boxes anywhere else, but glad you figured it out.

I plan on making the battle window stationary. Before I had all the other stuff added (HP bar, portrait, 1 and 2 buttons, etc) the battle window wasn't all that bad, and I like the micro menu aspect of it, but the whole thing is growing much bigger than that, and so a stationary battle menu is probably going to be implemented.

As far as using skills in battle, the idea is eventually each rune will have 4 different skills to use, gaining more as the rune levels up, and so you'll be able to choose from a list of skills in battle. I just haven't gotten around to implementing each skill or a menu for choosing said skills. Furthermore, I also intend to allow the equipping of multiple runes for battles, and allowing the player to have a "dual rune skill" per combination, and later on "triple rune skills" (thus furthering the chrono trigger emphasis).

Anyway, thank you for giving it a go, even though there isn't much to speak of. This is just a small demonstration of what I've been working on (which has taken quite some time, I might add). If RS!X wasn't here, nothing would've been released at all. :)

Project Questing

Maps look pretty nice. I like the idea behind this project. Sub'd. Keep working on this.

Eden Legacy: A Knight of Eden

I did give it a chance. I went in with an open mind and low expectations. You didn't exceed those expectations, I'm sorry.

I looked in about five or six of the houses in the second town, and only saw that everyone of the people inside had been killed (i did find potions in one of them, though). There was nothing there to lead me to believe that the town was anything more than that.

I can appreciate minimalism, but honestly dude, boring is boring. Even games like FF1 had diversity in their dungeons and landscape. I still play dragon quest, FF1, and even the old gameboy FF Legends games; however, for what you're trying to emulate, you're emulating all the worst aspects.

For the record, I played it by clicking the .exe file that came with it.

Eden Legacy: A Knight of Eden

I played through the first dungeon, the town got destroyed, and i went to the next town, which was also already destroyed. Then I went into a cave and was immediately killed by Arachnids.

No music at all was heard... thought my computer was the problem, until I heard the game over music.

All the skills do the exact same amount of damage.

No monster portraits and poor use of RM2k battle script makes battles really uninteresting.

Story is weak and uninteresting. Dialogue is bad.

Maps are way too big and boring (no details or interesting environment to explore), walk speed way too slow, encounter rate way too high.

Lack of diversity in fights. Fighting two slimes over and over again is not fun, it's annoying. And no, running into three slimes instead does not make it any more intuitive.

As it stands, your game is not very good :(. Sorry. You may want to think about completely reworking it from ground up, or just starting over.

Hellucination v1.3

You say there's a version 2.0... I don't see a link anywhere. Help?
