SBESTER'S PROFILE
I've been an active member for quite a few years now. I started my RMN career by releasing the Eden Legacy Trilogy of games (each entry took 4 months of nonstop work) within one year, and I've gradually shifted to creating other games as well. I now have 3 flagship series: Eden Legacy, Fragile Hearts, and Mafiosi (being remade for commercial release as Crime Opera). I'm pretty much solely focused on the Crime Opera series of visual novels right now, as my band and job currently take up most of my free time.
Currently working on
-Crime Opera Trilogy (Mafiosi 1, 2, & 3 edited, with all original resources)

Eden Legacy: The Trilogy Collection Editions
Amerk updated the walkthrough for the 1.3 version of the game. Still another beta tester working on this one, and I'm fixing some bugs and dialogue, so I can't release the game yet til we're done. The walkthrough is there though for anyone who wants a sort of preview.
What happened?
I'm not sure why, but I kept thinking this game was another one of those "movies made with rpg maker". Looking at the reviews... this is a real shame that you're giving up on this. Any chance of you handing it off to someone else, or coming back to work on it someday in the far future?
Video game genres that will eventually die in the coming years.
The General Discussion has been poisoned. RIP Moronic.
No offense, Raekwon, but none of your claims (in your first post, since reading the rest of the this topic would most definitely breach my threshold for boredom) have any evidence to back them up. The genres will change, but they will never die.

What's the new Featured Game?
I think it would be cool to have a featured game AND a randomly selected game both on the frontpage. The random one would work the same way as the front page random screenshots used to, where it would be a new game every time you reloaded the page.
Anyways, since Sai wants to wait til Vacant Sky has a complete edition, I'll switch my vote to eyes without a face, (not that I've played it yet, but we're gonna keep hearing about it every month until it's finally featured).

Battle System "Chance Command"
Thanks for the thoughts!
I think for the first chance appearance I'm going to just make it work 100% just to show players how beneficial it can be. I'm thinking for the rest of the battles (at least for Fergus) where chance commands appear, it will do roughly twice the regular amount of damage, and will effect multiple enemies instead of just one. Fergus doesn't have any skills aside from the use of his sword (although he sometimes spontaneously defeats enemies before an encounter with them can occur), so the chance command is a good balance for him in that department.
You're right though, 50/50 is a little too much. I'll most likely adjust it down to 70/30
I haven't properly figured out Haddy's battle mechanics yet, although I believe what I'll do is I'll have her magic start out very weak, then gradually allow it to evolve and affect larger areas on the field. The real difficulty is finding a way to differentiate her mechanics from Midard's... which I should start thinking about now.

I Hate RMVX
Back on topic...
If VX had better sprites I'd probably already be using it. It's ugly as hell, so I don't. Higher resolution is nice, but not when every game for VX looks exactly the same.

This is an old screen, the town is pretty vibrant with activity now. I'll probably make it seem rather crowded to give it that special atmosphere.
Legendary Legend Review
Aha! The most polarizing game on the site!
I never shared the hate for this game that it garnered from its time as the featured game. I probably didn't like it as much as you either though. Someday I may give it a more thorough play through, I just wish he had done something different with the battles.
