SBESTER'S PROFILE
I've been an active member for quite a few years now. I started my RMN career by releasing the Eden Legacy Trilogy of games (each entry took 4 months of nonstop work) within one year, and I've gradually shifted to creating other games as well. I now have 3 flagship series: Eden Legacy, Fragile Hearts, and Mafiosi (being remade for commercial release as Crime Opera). I'm pretty much solely focused on the Crime Opera series of visual novels right now, as my band and job currently take up most of my free time.
Currently working on
-Crime Opera Trilogy (Mafiosi 1, 2, & 3 edited, with all original resources)

The Encephalon Review
Woah, good thing this got posted I was about to do a review of it myself. I'd score it the same, so now there's no point.
I would say though, I felt like this was great as a sort of movie experience. It's about two hours in length, has some great plot points, and it feels very self contained while at the same time opening itself up to a series of sequels. I think this is the first rpg game where I actually felt the short length worked to its advantage. There's no filler, no sidequests that you don't care about, and the story actually draws you in right from the get-go. The ability to switch character classes was also a great little addition.
Mr. Deckiller, you've actually changed my mind about these short games. They can be done well, and Encephalon should be held as a standard for those who wish to make one themselves.

Well rap has gotten a whole lot less meaning full and a whole more stupid:
"Bitches, Money, Weed, Pussy, Ass, Weed, Liquor, Cars, Bitches" Loops on and on with repetative beats.
Miss how it used to be more of a story, more about the hard realities of life but still being positive. You wanna know what killed it. Money and Consumerism because "we" all want "mo' bitches, mo' money" and it strokes many young kids ego's as well.
You know what pisses me off mostly about this, How most music an art has changed into a business.
I cant stand most music these days...
If you want artful music there's a shitload coming out everyday, it just isn't available on the radio or tv. You have to look outside the scene or your genre to music that uses actual instruments with real musicians behind them, not that computer generated bullshit that everyone worships today.
Dragon Creed Log 3- Worst game ever.
lol you'd be a great audience for this then, WolfCoder, as you could judge for yourself if this is actually worse than your first game. I sincerely doubt it. Dragon Creed even adds a character to your party without introducing them if you don't manage to complete a specific quest lol (I never did manage to find it in my recent play through). I suppose I could have added some switches and stuff to make it better before releasing it, but ya know, I may as well keep it as true to the original form as possible. There's no real 'saving' it anyway, it's a turd no matter what I do to it.

Actually, that's a "windows" system set (I think I found it on charas project) and it isn't the one I actually used for this game. When I brought the game over to this computer I lost the original system set so I need to find it again in my resources folder before I upload it. The real one I use is actually the best one I've ever seen.
The Encephalon
I feel the need to step away for a while.
post=209826post=209778Actually, I DO work harder on my RPGs when my life is in the shitter.
i think this would be all the more reason to jump into rpgmaker. like, the whole "tortured artist" thing. like, all of these writers i know are like "i love to write it is my passion in life but i can only write if i am a miserable human being"
"Coping with Depression the RPG Maker Way!" by Kenton Anderson.
Someone break his leg! I want Generica 2!
Dragon Creed Log 3- Worst game ever.
lol if I weren't there would be a shitload of very angry downloaders who would want my head for this. I'm now twice the age I was when I made it so it's easy to laugh about it now.
