ALPHAOMEGA247'S PROFILE

Was deemed by the Arishok as one who commands a great deal of respect. Was recently thrown out of a wheat field for going against the grain. Once conquered Rhode Island using a can of lima beans, a yo-yo, and a used copy of Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3 on Blu-Ray. Is a founding member of the band Bladder Failure, whose hit single "Flushed From the Bottom of My Heart" spent nearly six minutes atop the Canadian Top 10 (until the software glitch was corrected). Invented the word "zfaifnv" while trapped in the back of a UPS truck with a flatulent snapping turtle.

ALSO: Does not tolerate use of the word "when" under any circumstance.

< HATES EGG-NOG. AND CHRISTMAS.

v Is willing to act as my stand-in for all future family gatherings.

What are you thinking about right now?

Ugh, I'm glad Christmas is over. It was worse than I could have possibly imagined. Everybody in my family hates each other, Grandma was flipping out because one of my cousins unfriended her on Facebook and she couldn't see pictures of the baby anymore. One of my uncles didn't know who I was and thought I was said cousin's boyfriend and the babydaddy. Grandma... after 21 years... still can't spell my name right. During dinner, my cheap plastic fork shattered and flipped my plate onto my lap. My aunt was constantly reminding us that things like "the Pearl Harbor War" aren't important and don't need to be taught in schools--we need to focus on nutrition, healthy living, and shit like that. Also, she wouldn't eat the cookies because the eggs weren't from free roaming chickens. My mom was (understandably) drinking wine straight from the bottle. My sister was bitching about everyone (Aunt Suzanne didn't start making her turkey breast until 3:00!) and her dogs were running around barking and stirring up allergies. I wound up sitting all by myself in a corner with my 3DS. FML.

If anybody is in need of a cute new addition to their family, I'm already potty trained, employed, and have nice hair.

On the bright side, I did get some nice loot. Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, Assassin's Creed Unity, some new clothes, a ton of hot chocolate, a nice new razor (which I'll definitely use if I ever grow facial hair), all sorts of glorious dark chocolate, etc.

Goodbye my RPG Making spare time and hello Dragon Age: Inquisition spare time~ (Pretty freakin' happy!)
Yeah, say goodbye to 100 hours of your life. XD I've played for like 70 hours and I still have a ton left to do.

What are you thinking about right now?

So wait, being called an asshole is an insult? I've always taken it as a compliment!

How 'bout that new Star Wars, eh?

Lawrence Kasdan, also known as God among Star Wars fans: he was the writer and director of Return of the Jedi.
I don't think he directed Return of the Jedi. That was some... Richard Marblahblahblah guy.

I spent €0 on my girlfriend this Christmas.

Y'know, 'cause I don't have one.

...

-opens a beer-
I know those feels... Of course, I can spend more money on MYSELF, which is a major plus. I guess. Maybe?

[Poll] What game would best serve to settle political disputes?

I'd love to see a dispute solved by Pictionary. Just because it's so utterly absurd... "This island doesn't belong to you, but instead of massing the troops for an invasion, we're just going to see if I can draw the Easter Bunny better than you."

(Though I would definitely like to see wars being replaced by games of Super Smash Bros. as well.)
Well, Nintendo is constantly telling people to SETTLE IT IN SMASH...

And as a fun aside, if you do an image search for Settle it in Smash, Addit's review of Super Smash Bros. Crusade is among the top results.

How 'bout that new Star Wars, eh?

I have no idea who that is.
Lawrence Kasdan is the writer of the less-than-critically acclaimed movie Continental Divide!!! I guess he also co-wrote some obscure movie called Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back or something. It's a fairly minor film, so I'm not surprised if you haven't heard of it.

The Ban Game

I ban pianotm for not giving me baking tips sooner. Though I did successfully make brownies the other day. From a box. But I still count that as a victory after those awful cookies.

I reduced all the graphical settings to the lowest they would go. Creating sims and building was houses was fine with the full graphics, but actually playing with the families made the game freeze. Hasn't frozen again after reducing the graphic quality.
That's not my problem. My computer can handle all of the graphical settings at maximum. The problem is that the game runs at 1,500 frames per second. Any other game runs at 30-60 FPS, and The Sims 3 is cranking along at 1,500-1,700 FPS at times (mostly during load screens and build/buy). During actual gameplay, it fluctuates between 80-150 FPS, overheats my computer and crashes.

I've downloaded a FPS Limiter that allegedly caps the FPS at 30, but I haven't been able to get it to work. :x

The Screenshot Topic Returns

Those springs don't seem to work like I would expect them to. :| I would think after the kid hits the first one, he'd zoom into the lower-left corner and then stop because he just slid in front of it. I guess they're motion activated or something. That explains everything. XD

Nice screens! The map is looking pretty good too if not a bit empty at parts, specially the paved areas. I dunno, spice things up a little by adding a bit more detail (Puddles, tiny patches of grass, etc) or just by subtle shades of color on the ground. Look at how rich the grass texture is! All your ground tiles should have a similar 'liveliness' to them.

Also you're mixing tiles from very different games/places. Some of those tiles from SD3's Rabite Forest and CT's Millennium Fair are too bright and colorful for those houses from City castle of Jad. The houses look so gloomy in comparison! I suggest you to play around a bit with their colors until they make for a better match with the surroundings.
I did try to have some cracks and stuff in the paved areas, but I'm awful at making sprites and everything I did looked terrible. As it stands, there's ONE paved tile in the entire city that's different from the others (and conveniently, it's right behind that woman's head in the screen you quoted. I guess I'll spread that around a little bit more (since it looks okay) and now that I've been challenged, I'll have to come up with some other things to increase liveliness! :P

I changed the roof colors because I thought they felt a bit off, but I never even considered changing the buildings. Of course, now that you mention it, it's blatantly obvious!
