Curious to try this, from what you've been saying about it. Am pretty into roguelikes and random character generation, but don't see too many of them being made decently these days.
Lowest Damage instead of 0, make it 1.
Oh, variance. Right. The strict damage skills I use obviously have variance at 0, so it just never even occurred to me ~.~

Well considering he said it was the only nudity scene in his entire multi-part game (which wasn't even named, that I saw) and that also happens to be the single screeny he posted...

How in the formula does this change happen exactly?
One of my projects uses strict damage formulae for a lot of skills ("deal 1000 damage" etc) and it always comes out exactly as intended, but I've never used single digits. For it to ignore a +1 would mean that something in the formula gets changed that affects...only small numbers and nothing higher than...around 50?
Not that I'm arguing the truth of what you're saying, by the way. Just wondering why that's the case, when it doesn't seem consistent, is all.

Well aye, it does build up to Kefka being battered silly, but how I proceeded after that seemed up for dispute. The Panto is only based around five characters, and even in FF6 most of the ending was just them all leaving the tower (which isn't in the Panto either) so filling the gap between Kefka taking a dirtnap and the credits rolling was blocking me.
However, I absolutely love, and am planning on stealing, the Ultros idea...well, close enough anyways.. It's just absolutely perfectly suited for a sort of fourth-wall in-on-it's-own-joke kinda thing.
Need to go draw up an Ultros sprite now....wonder if it'd be better just ripping the original...

"critically shield"? Inexplicable word choice aside....if regular shielding knocks damage down by 50~90%, wouldn't critical shielding basically just negate all relevant damage?

I'd have to agree with Shoo. Unless I'm missing something, just tagging +1 on at the end of each formula should guarantee you always deal a 1 damage minimum, and isn't likely to make any significant impact on the damage calculations beyond that.
