Okay, but as long as you found a way to play without freezing (windowed, then Alt+Enter), it's not that much a problem anymore, I hope :)

Looks like a driver problem. Try updating/reinstalling your video drivers.

Workaround:
- right click the RPG_RT.EXE file in Explorer
- choose Properties
- click on Compatibility tab
- under Settings, check Disable Desktop Composition
- click OK

It has nothing to do with INI files. You have to pass "Window" as 3rd parameter.

For example:

If it doesn't: Let the game freeze, then restart your PC. After restarting, go to Control Panel -> Maintenance -> Event Log and look what's the last entry before the restart. Tell me the details (right-click -> Properties).

Game Over Teleport Patch for RM2k v1.07

This patch replaces the Game Over screen by a teleport.

Use lips.exe to apply gotpatch.ips on your RPG_RT.exe (please only use with RPG_RT version 1.07!).
Then drag the patched RPG_RT.exe onto gothelper.exe to set the teleport destination and choose whether the hero should be visible after the teleport or not.

Problem with MP3s in RPG Maker 2003

My problem with MP3s in RM2K3 is they don't loop properly. It always pauses for a moment, which breaks the rhythm. Kind of annoying, but not a major issue.


Well, if you install Disharmony (as suggested), you can set loop points in MP3s.

Pretty sure the only patches I'm using on the actual executable is v.185 and the disharmony patch. As for patches that don't actually patch the executable (I think) I'm using BEVC, which means I have scripts in common events and battle pages where they aren't supposed to be (not sure if that makes a difference)


Okay, but which version of RPG_RT.exe do you have? You can, for example, open your project with Hyper Patcher 2 to determine the version.
