WinXP - Problem with music in rm2k(3) - known problem?

RMXP plays music using DirectSound. That's also why MIDIs sound a bit... hollow... in comparison to the RM2k.

Bushido Battle Skill

Yeah, looks like I misunderstood you at first :)
Please drop me a note when your there is a download of your game, because I am curious how the Bushido skill looks/works, because haven't seen any games using my PicsInBattle-Patch yet.

Go to the volume control and check whether the "Mute" box is checked for "MIDI". If it is, uncheck it. Also, move the volume bar for "MIDI" to maximum.

Muting of the MIDI channel often happens after you play MIDI files in Windows Media Player. Use some other player (like Media Player Classic) to avoid this issue.

Bushido Battle Skill

No, you CAN do it with exactly those patches I mentioned.

Just use a Common Event where you check the key presses and use pictures (using the PicsInBattle-Patch) to display the keys the player has to press.

Bushido Battle Skill

Well, I haven't played FF, but according to the wikia page, it's just a skill which gets stronger the later you use it, in the meantime filling a bar...?

That's no problem then. You could just create a battle event in every monster group (or a Common Event using the Battle Event Converter, which you then call from every monster group - easier to manage) which changes the skill every turn. First, the old skill (named "Bushido (Lv 1)") is removed and the new, stronger skill (named "Bushido (Lv 2)") added, and so on.

If you want a visible bar: You could use pictures for that. To make them visible in battle too, you need the PicsInBattle-Patch.

Customer gameovers for Rm2k

You're welcome!

Maybe you could drop me a message when there is a download of your game available.

Added Weather Effects?

There are no such patches if that's what you mean.

But it's no problem to use pictures, of course.

(Please don't start getting lazy, requesting a patch for everything, just because I am around^^ - escpecially things which can also be done using events. This is what happens at the German communities sometimes.)

Did you make a backup?

You didn't read properly. I said "apply on your RPG_RT.exe" (it's in your project folder), not RPG2000.exe!

Screen won't fit!

{Copy & Paste}

I wrote a tool which stretches the game to fullscreen without changing the resolution, it also allows you to apply a filter (Scale2x or hq2x) for better graphics.

This is a little tool which lets you play RPG Maker 2000/2003 games in fullscreen - without changing the resolution. This is a workaround for people who have problems with their screen or their graphics driver. AnotherFullscreenMode needs at least a 1 GHz CPU to run without lagging.

First, start your game (in windowed mode). Then start AnotherFullscreenMode. By pressing F6 you can switch between fullscreen and windowed mode, F7 shows or hides the FPS.

Using F8, you can set the filter: none -> Scale2x -> hq2x

Example screen with hq2x (in windowed mode):

All rpg maker 2003 games not working?

Still strange.
Okay, but as long as you found a way to play without freezing (windowed, then Alt+Enter), it's not that much a problem anymore, I hope :)
