You get the pattern and solutions to any level after playing up to 5 layers or so, but holy sweet mother of crap, to do the 12 layer one on java takes over 4000 moves! Who has the time to waste on that???.....

One thing that I forgot to mention about the puzzles was that knights should not be able to see you if you cannot see them, especially if you're behind a wall heading up the stairs. This comes up in a castle in the desert when you're trying to rescue one of your buds. There are guards that walk along the upper parts of the hall while you're down in the southwest corner and you will get caught no matter what you try to do.

Yeah unfortunately I believe that was a minor bug that resulted from using the "skip puzzle" function too early in the puzzle before reaching at least the halfway point.

Yes, he dyed his hair blue, gave up knighthood to gain awesome magic spells, and got a new girlfriend. Living the dream =)

Dax is back at the Seahorse Inn and if you rest up and talk to him again, he will suggest you look for Damien by talking to one of the Grey Rose knights in the tavern. After that, head to the northwestern forest to look for Damien.
