My name's Kasey Ozymy. I'm a game designer from Texas. I made Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass and am currently working on Hymn to the Earless God.

[Poll] Game Titles
I assume that your target audience is English speakers since you're worried about people having trouble with pronunciation. So, it's unlikely that your audience will even know any Swahili, so I'd just go with the most phonetically pleasing, which, to me, is Mashetani Liberation. The initial confusion that this might cause people who know what the Mashetani are is actually a good thing, as it would provide intrigue, and based on your description, I don't think it's a misleading title, either.
Adventure Academy Review
You had me at non sequiturs. I will forever hate Family Guy for cementing non sequiturs as the go-to comedy bit over irony.
What are you jamming to?
The Recommend Me a Game Game
Yeah, I think that page was linked in this thread earlier. I'll probably still play it since it's one of those games that people mention a lot, but it's not really one I can review if there's no game page.
The Recommend Me a Game Game
Is Homework Salesman complete? It says it's episodic; I'll still consider it if it's a complete game with a complete storyline, but if it doesn't really END, I'd feel irritated. Anyway, here's the standing:
Aetherion: 2
The Astonishing Captain Skull: 2
Chrono Trigger: 2
Sunset Over Imdhal: 2
Touhou--Wandering Souls: 2
Homework Salesman: 2
The Blue Contestant: 2
Project Viral: 1
Middens: 1
Uchioniko: 1
Weird Dreams: -1
Marie Goes to Space: -3
I think I'm going to give The Astonishing Captain Skull a try. I was going to play Sunset Over Imdhal, but I couldn't find a game page for it, so I can't really review it. Am I just not finding it, or should I take it off the list?
Anyway, the next round starts now; feel free to recommend me more games (or crank up the existing ones).

Yeah, I guess it depends on what you value in an RPG. If you play RPGs for dungeon exploration and combat, then Radiata Stories doesn't have much to offer--especially in terms of dungeon exploration. Radiata Stories's gameplay is mostly about learning how to recruit people based on observing their routines, which sounds boring when I write it out, but I had a lot of fun with it, especially since the characters have personality and the world was so alive. The combat is simplistic, but it's not run-of-the-mill, and it didn't overstay its welcome for me. Now that I think about it, Radiata Stories had a pretty unique look on the genre, and I'd suggest it's worth playing just to get that perspective.
Baten Kaitos's world was pretty awesome; I just found the people that populated it to be generally uninteresting and occasionally annoying (if you count voice acting, always annoying).

Lately, they've been disappointing me mostly, though. I still liked Infinite Undiscovery, despite being super hard (I gave up midway through game, though), but Radiata Stories was really really horrible. That day/night mechanism just overcomplicated everything and 90% of your time you're just running around town looking for friends and items, soooo boooring. Resonance of Fate was also disappointing, some good ideas but the execution was just so bad and many things were just overcomplicated (for example field effects and having to builds your own guns). What used to be a company that was making purely reaction-based games with very simple gameplay turned into a company trying to create more and more unique and complex mechanisms and that didn't really work too well with me.
On the other hand, Motoi Sakuraba split off from tri-Ace and made his own company tri-Crescendo and so far I loved every single game they were involved in (Baten Kaitos, Valkyrie Profile 2, Eternal Sonata, Fragile Dreams). I guess the people that fit to my taste moved there or something (I never really informed myself too well).
Valkyrie Profile 2 and Baten Kaitos had some sweet battle systems and graphics, but, man, they both had some of the worst writing considering how great everything else was about them. That really killed it for me--especially the reliance on twists. I sprained my eyes from rolling them too much.
You're right: most of Radiata Stories is spent recruiting people--but the world is so convincing, charming, and alive that I really got into it. The battle system is simplistic but it still engaged me due in part to constantly getting new and better characters, and the game's actually pretty funny. Outside of Ridley, most of the characters weren't particularly round, but they were still charming (and plentiful) enough to remain interesting. It was one of my favorite PS2 games.

I honestly feel like they peaked with Valkyrie Profile. Haven't really been impressed with them since, nor have I felt too inclined to really get behind them as much since.
Yeah, that was their best game. The second one was incredibly disappointing (if you haven't played it, it was basically a series of the most melodramatic Scooby Doo reveals I've ever seen).
The last game that they made that I thought was really excellent was Radiata Stories. Definitely worth a look if you haven't seen it, Joseph.
Post your Music
Hey, a double post:

This is the first metal thing I've written in Reason; I think it turned out pretty sweet.
Edit: I added a couple of bars of silence so the track would loop better.
