FINAL FANTASY: RECORD KEEPER

Ultima+ Weapon mastery party:

Might as well do it while the chicken thighs bake. Missed a medal on speed because it took awhile to get my Boostga stack up, mostly because Drunk Cecil used his first meter on Protectga (source: Power Sash). Once that was up, Ultima Weapon got creamed by three consecutive Black Materia. Healed the Gravija with Selphie RW, which then blocked an Earthquake. Second one healed his big sword attack that snuck through a Stoneskin/break gap, which then blocked an Ultima spell... so that RW was pretty neat.

Ultimate Seifer full medals party:

I would love to do an AoE/magic party, but all of my weapons are physical and elemental resistances make it tricky since I'd have to wait until Raijin is gone before I can use Quetzlcoatl or whatever.

Anyway, took it nice and easy and knocked them down one-at-a-time. Waited for Apocalypse Shield to be active before dropping Flashing Blade. Speaking of which, I almost honed Flashing Blade but noticed I had enough orbs for R4 Flare, so now I have no more Non-Elemental orbs for that... Flashing Blade will be next since Sephiroth is a bad mofo. Yukikaze's damage was really low on Basch, so I should've given him a strong single target ability like Saint's Cross. Squall Burst RW helped me get medals as well as damage for Basch and Sazh.

Was never in any sort of danger. Pretty easy fight with my gear and limit breaks. Probably would be even easier with a second spellblade.

Hungry, so I'll do the Ultimate+ after I make a bite.

FINAL FANTASY: RECORD KEEPER

Is this the first time you've finished bonus battles before the next set was released?

I probably won't be using Shout tonight. Having guns means I can bring Sazh, so it'll be more slot-efficient to bring him and not stack hastega effects.

Somehow I've run out of growth eggs. Palom and Porom will need to be leveled up the old fashioned way.

Breaking Out

This is usually my go to game when teaching myself a new language or media library.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

author=Craze
fieldrunners 1 was so bad i tried to remove it from my steam library completely

rust sounds fun, liberty! i think i'd rather watch it than play it though.

still playing bravely second, but i'm almost done. started ori and the blind forest: definitive edition... so enjoyable, great music, but a little frustrating at times.

I've only played the mobile/tablet version of Fieldrunners, which is probably the same as the PC one, but I thought it was pretty decent. As far as PC tower defense games go, I think my favorites are Defense Grid, Bloons, and Kingdom Rush. There's an FPS/TD hybrid called Sanctum that I have, which was pretty novel--not novel enough that I got the sequel, though.

Anyway, after a recent replay of Dragon Quest 4, I have moved on to Dragon Quest 9. When at home, I've been playing FF9, but haven't in a week-ish since I've been a bit busy. When I finish FF9 I will probably start Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

The RMN is dead, long live the RMN!

So what was Plan B if ankylo got hit by a semi-truck on Friday night?

FINAL FANTASY: RECORD KEEPER

I guess there's supposed to be an orb weekend.

I am at an even 100 Mythril right now. So I'll be doing an 11-pull on FF3 1 and FF9 2. And whatever I accumulate until then will go towards the next soulbreak festival.

@djbeardo:
That screen scrolling is truly terrible. Why would you want to outrun the camera

It's probably impossible to outrun the camera, but I would increase the lerp rate all the same, personally. I would also modify its destination based on how long a player travels in a given direction. As you continue to move to the right, the lerp point would migrate further to the right of the player, for example.

What you should do is have it work mostly how it does now, but have the moving camera trying to reach a tile three squares in front of the player, instead of trying to reach the player. You'll need to detect which way the player is facing for this. This will make it so when the player turns, the camera will move significantly, like in Super Mario World. I think that would create a really great effect.

I do not recommend this and would go even further, saying this is shit advice. The wildly swinging camera is disorienting, and your assessment of how the camera works in SMW is inaccurate. You want the lerp point to swing back gradually, rather than towards s fixed position based on player facing. The lerp point should be based on motion, not facing, like I said earlier.

I think Balthier's gun is the best item, but the shield is definitely the item I personally wanted the most. This marks the second time in the history of FFRK that I've gotten exactly the item I desired. First was Thyrus during one of those soulbreak festivals.

FF3 will be my next 11-pull.

Just unlocked Basch and holy shit is his kit good. Most melee weapons and armor types. Access to Knight-5, Combat-5, and Samurai-4. He replaces my need for Gilgamesh, only missing some elemental dragoon abilities but those aren't critically important.
