[Play Time] Bullet Ballot Mafia

Well, I'm going to play video games for a bit. Not voting yet, but unless anything changes, I think I finally know who I'm voting for.

Still curious what Jeroen and oddRABBIT have to say on today's developments though.

I thought YM posted between those two points, did he not!?

I wasn't looking for that. I was looking for those two posts. The "I voted for piano" and the "I lied I didn't vote for piano."

so lemme check.

Well, not sure where you're going with this, but no, YM didn't make any posts between those two.

Makio, you said it yourself:

oddRABBIT - plays a potentially deadly gamble with piano at the end of Day 2 to try to sacrifice themself or piano and solidify the innocence of that survivor. Has been very quiet and not contributed too much in the way of theories.
* Thing that strikes me odd about that is that oddRABBIT always seems to vote against the grain. However that might be a gambit to distance themselves from the lynchings and appear to not be contributing to any one strategy.

Potentially the oddRABBIT/piano drama could have been to get piano off the hook so that oddRABBIT would be the sacrifice, instead. Worst case scenario for Mafia would be piano getting lynched anyway, which is what happened. The silver lining, though, would be that oddRABBIT could play the lurking game to their heart's content. How does that sound?

Yes, that was a theory I proposed, but I've also mentioned MANY times that that theory has a HUGE risk to it - a tie between oddRABBIT and piano would have hung them both. If there's two mafia, that would be STUPID, and even if there were three, that would be ridiculously dangerous.

1. Yellow Magic votes for MakioKuta, then claims to have voted for LockeZ
2. LockeZ is killed overnight
3. Not-so-clever Mafia members try to pin suspicion on Yellow Magic

Which is why I have voted for pianotm. Case closed!

Didn't I just mention why I lied in my last post?
The aim was to judge how people reacted to my lie...So far we have discovered:
- Crystal-Mint cares a bit too much about my lie
- Jeroen's bandwagoning
- Pianotm is either Town or playing a godly Mafia

As for me pulling a Celeste-style gambit: HAH, I wish. Celeste-san's thinking is way beyond my humble brain........

I haven't actually voted for pianotm, by the way. Again another way to gauge reactions...I guess at this point any trust in me has dissipated, but I thought I should leave the facts as they are.

I'd recommend voting against either Crystal-Mint or Jeroen right now.

Wait, there's another 'godly Mafia' comment too. I totally forgot about that one. That wasn't why I wanted to bring that up though.

The first quote on it's own, is YM going against piano, but when coupled with the second, he retracts that and admits it was a lie.

Oh, I read your statement backwards. Then, yes, I agree. If piano was never a sacrifice, then YM could have been an accomplice by the facts of their own statement that they never threw shade at piano, and since they also voted for oddRABBIT that night same as piano.

There's something strange though. Hang on, I need to find it.

New can of worms? Well we have to! Piano may not have been a sacrifice, I don't think he was anymore. The only thing with the theory that even remotely makes it happy, is it means we can trust YM, but I don't think Piano was a sacrifice anymore.

I'm not following; mind explaining why piano not being a sacrifice means YM can be trusted?

Though if it helps, starting around this page there's interactions between Rabbit and myself: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/20624/?p=28#posts

I'm not sure that anyone outside of Kloe and piano really interacted with RABBIT much.

--

Here's the things I don't understand about the piano sacrificing himself thing:

1. Both Gourd and Iseiri said that paino was playing the game very well if he was mafia. They were both town, so we can confirm that those comments were in fact NOT made to defend piano (like we suspected with Gourd). They have more experience than me, so I'm going to assume that they know what they are talking about. Which would imply that piano's actions, for the most part, were not really the sort of actions a mafia would make - which means that it's questionable to begin with whether or not piano was TRULY set up to be a sacrifice.

2. If piano WAS a sacrifice, the thing that got people more suspicious of him was his reaction to Kloe. A thing that Gourd, confirmed townie, said is actually pretty typical of piano. (Which again we took the wrong way to assume he was defending piano.)

3. If piano WAS a sacrifice, then why did he try to desperately to pin stuff on oddRABBIT towards the very end of the day. Rather than just taking the fall like he should have. Was he hoping to have oddRABBIT taken out with him? Was oddRABBIT the choice merely because that was who was online at the time?

Perhaps we've been looking at that the wrong way and piano was never meant to actually BE a sacrifice. His actions pulled the wool right over Gourd's eyes, and we can't be sure how Isrieri would have voted that night to know if they were also still fooled by what they considered to be a strong gameplay...

If we remove the idea that piano was ever a sacrifice to begin with, we open a whole new can of worms.

Kloe (Votes = Kloe, piano, Makio)
Jeroen_Sol (Votes = Ratty, piano, Gourd)
MakioKuta (Votes = piano, piano, Gourd)
oddRABBIT (Votes = piano, piano (nulled), Yellow Magic)
Yellow Magic (Votes = Makio, oddRABBIT, Gourd)

Correct me if anything is wrong, but this is what I have in my notes.

[Play Time] Bullet Ballot Mafia

Likewise, on the first vote, Jeroen is the only one still alive who voted for Ratty.

And 3/5 people still alive voted for Gourd.

Kloe and RABBIT have never contributed to a vote that hung a townie.

Jeroen's vote has always been for the person who was hung.

2/3 people YM has voted for are still alive, the only one not being Gourd.
