Formatting Dialog Outside the Editor

I do almost all of it in OneNote. Text written in it is stored in containers, and you can drag those containers wider or narrower to approximate the width of in-game text. The vertical gray lines below are an example:

From there it's just a matter of triple clicking, copying over, cleaning up stray spaces, and typing in nameboxes (usually with a personal Autohotkey script to save more time). I'm not sure how well all this would work with RM's batch entry; I personally never used it. >_>

But I really like Onenote for areas where I have much less space to work with and need to find places to put manual line breaks, like bestiary entries and quest objectives. (the stuff on the right were old notes to myself, but I hope they help explain what I'm trying to say, haha)

These days I've been into plaintext writing when I want to bang out a rough draft without having to fuss with formatting. I like Atom because it lets me customize the UI and text to be completely dark and easier on my eyes.

The In-Game Avatar Photo Op

I love customization options and dressing up characters. I can get lost in all that for hours! haha

This is my elven mage in my current playthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition:

The following colorful ones were taken while trying to figure out how to use the Cinematic Tools program. In a nutshell, it unlocks the camera and can add blurring and color balancing adjustments. Kind of hard to use, but pretty neat, I think!

Her weapon is that one lightsaber staff that acts like a greatsword, but unfortunately it didn't show up very well, with or without special effects. :c

Game Question: Games for One Hand

Here's a Steam group that has a list of some games that can be played one-handed:
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/singlehand

And seconding the hidden object games. I've only stuck to the ones by Artifex Mundi, but theirs are usually decent or pretty nice!

I've almost always played the recent Shadowrun games (Returns, Dragonfall, and Hong Kong) one handed to pass the time while I'm unable to use my left at all, like when my whole arm hurts like hell from work or if my hand gets dirty from handling food. They can be played with just the mouse, and along with the numpad to select dialogue choices if you want.

But really, it may be best to just take more breaks--it's not like games are going anywhere :/

What is your favorite thing to write about, if you enjoy writting?

I prefer writing descriptions of things, like flavor text and narration. With those, I'm less likely to go overlong and excessively revise like I tend to do with dialogue. :x

Dazzlinglatte Plays.. Catharsis {Demo}

Wow, that last video was cutting it close! Thanks for taking the time to LP the game :D

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die on Sale in HumbleBundle! If you don't have that game yet, then now's a good time :D

Dark Souls 2 is on a pretty good sale right now too: $13.60 on Gamersgate compared to Humble's $19.99.

I almost bought it, but finding out that these games have some sort of forced PVP/multiplayer was a major turnoff for me, sorry :/

Revenant Gods - Ragnarok Chronicle

Yay, it's cool to finally see this game over here. Good luck! :) *subbed*

This was a quick drawing of the protagonist in my most recent SRHK playthrough, a mage named Shi. I liked the design of the "Corp Mage" armor so much that I wanted to try making fanart of it. :)

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I finished KOTOR on my android the other day (still a great game), and also the wife and I finished the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo III on Hard last night. D3 is much better now than when I played it back 1.5 years ago, but it's still a bit frustrating with skill selection - "This rune increases damage" BUT HOW MUCH DAMAGE? HOW MUCH DOES THE SKILL NORMALLY DO? WHAT IS THE DAMAGE RADIUS? WHY IS IT SO HARD TO COMPARE? and then equipment will have specific mods like "+11% damage for Frenzy". Like, is that good? 11% more of what, exactly? Yet the game goes into great detail on the myriad of stats that get crunched in the background, but inexplicably the important ones regarding skill and equipment selection decisions are vague and opaque.

At least the game is dropping good equipment now.

Oh hey, I've been playing D3 too (the transmogs in RoS got me reinterested in the game)and I don't really get how those percentages are added/multiplied either! I mostly just look at the dps number on the character sheet, reroll stats to focus on the elements and skills that I actually use, and hope my squishy monk or demon hunter kills everything before she gets one-shotted by a rift boss. XD

Have you tried seasons yet? They give out these cute little pets that now pick up gold for you, which is pretty convenient. (but the new set dungeon requirements later on in the season objectives are straight up bullshit imo)

That thing looks spoopy as all heck.

The first sentence in the description is a bit odd though, with its "...that...which..." structure -- idk, something about going on about the object some more bothers me. that's 600% a personal nitpick though so take it or leave it ;V

Yeah, I wasn't sure either. I looked around for rules concerning that vs. which and mostly found conflicting information...

"This plantlike creature secretes a black sap to attract and paralyze its prey. It then uses it's spiked arms to tear its meal apart."

I think I'll go with something along the lines of that, thanks! :)
