The 7 Dragons

This is the best damn game I have ever played! Period.

Fascinating Shit

loved the section on good dungeon design. My dungeons don't use keys, so it's not the same, but the geometrical layout is worth considering! :D

Ways to improve the community/maintain its awesomeness.

i don't know what everyone is going on about. I don't see annything bad about this site.
go to Gworld then say something about this site (I got kicked on my first day because i said my opinion, and posted things i like and got kicked).
everyone wants to help out (Especially for a noob like myself). i think thats the the spirite of this site and thats why i keed coming back.

so pleese don't ever change and if there are changes to be made then we need to fix it before it gets out of hand.

This.

Compaing RMN to GW I gotta say, you guys are nicer. I use the Sphere game Engine and there's at least a place here besides the Sphere community. You guys actually host Sphere games! :D

Kentona, huh? You say:

meh, if all you are interested in is hosting then just use Megaupload.

This site is about games and the people who make them and the people who play them

Then say that bug tracking is futile? Bug tracking would make this even more of a developers place, and it's not impossible or hard to implement at all.

I just use my most current project's blog for my "developer" news. Keeping track of more would only confuse my simple mind.

I don't want to sound rude; but bug tracking should not be that complicated or add any more complexity to the game page than blogs. Bug tracking should make it easier for developers to keep track of bugs in their game, and rather make it easier.

Why hasn't an admin looked at my issue/bug tracker suggestion then? I got perhaps two meek replies. :/

Challenge, hidden or outspoken?

A simple question has a simple answer:
Stuff like that should be alluded to in-game somewhere

With an emphasis on the "somewhere" part. For example, I was thinking about adding achievements in my game (still don't know if I will) but, it would at least have a sub-menu that lists *everything* possible. And possibly a location in the game where it can be found.

Avalon is known throughout the fantasy tales of King Arthur, as the burial place.

Ah, Avalon, the land in between, where spirits go when people die; a land lost between, neither here nor there but everywhere. Beautiful location, make it misty like!

Bug Tracker

author=Khos
Whats wrong with just having them PM you the bugs.

I'd think it gets hard to manage. Because you'd have to micro manage priority level and completion status. Plus the PM interface on this website is fairly basic at where it stands in functionality.

An RM game may possibly be different, I dunno, but I'm expecting the bugs to reach in the 100's with mine, because it's almost entirely programmed and has a lot of content. especially in closed beta testing w/ play testers. My game won't be needing this anytime soon, but by putting this here I hope some admin at some time will read it and hopefully do it.

For future posters: don't get smart here, it's quite natural for a product of any kind to have many bugs, read up any project at GitHub, SourceForge, or open source websites that have issue trackers... You'll see that the popular ones are filled to the brim. Not because they were coded badly, but because they weren't careful and have gotten better as each issue was addressed.

CHALLENGE: Make an image for Featured Games

Hey, Blitzen did you make that as a scalable vector art? Because that's looking great!

Pacing VS Character Development

author=The_Ghostman
Back to the thread's original topic(Unfortunately I am still babysitting) - Do you actually plan on inserting character development into a game you're making, or are you simply curious? I cannot think of many truly plot-driven or heavy games. Most games aren't even that coherent in plot or story. Let alone containing character development.

I watch House, a local television show and he would say: "You're an idiot". Because why would you respond to the "offtopic" portion and then ask for turning back to the original topic? I'm uncertain of your intelligence, good sir. Because you know someone would try to respond... It takes two to bicker, and you certainly aren't helping.

I'm done here. I'll just stop talking. I had to stop myself from replying to a few things. So all I ask is for anone else involved: Nightblade, Ghostman, LockeZ and perhaps Clest to stop.
