Hired Sword Review

I think the point is we need more tactical rpgs on this site. I don't know why there aren't many people in the community at large who attempt them.

Brave Hero Yuusha Review

The only RPG I know of where your party consists of the Hero, The Villian and the Damsel in Distress.

You've never played Super Mario RPG? :P

Action 52 RMN - Real Men Edition Review

I remember the college-level of late-night cramming I had to do in order to get my game in. This thing has some great memories attached to it. :P

Action 52 RMN - Real Men Edition Review

Lol, so YOU were my santa? :P

Thanks for the review! I wonder why nobody really attempted one years back when this game was released.

Toraware no Shoujo - Caged Girl Review

author=Rose_Guardian
I don't know what to say, but the guys who made this game specifically said in the summery that if this game offends you then you shouldn't play it. I agree with you that an eight year old girl shouldn't be portrayed the way she was in this game. However it really ticks me off when people just give a game a low score because they are offended by it, especially if the put up a warning about what is in the game. Sorry if I am being rude, mean, or too harsh, but the way I see it, if it offends don't play it, and certainly do nit give a negative review just because it offended you.

I'm sorry, but this is bullcrap. "This is not a game for everyone" is the classic codeword for "I don't want serious, objective critique because my game is perfect, so nyeh!" The fact that is so commonplace with these "horror" games makes me sick, to be honest.

Also, this review actually focused WAY less on the author's personal taste with his games and focused more of picking it apart for its objective flaws. Yes, your cutsey anime artstyle actually CAN detract your message with your game, and with the flaws in its translation adding on top of everything else, the developer could have definitely done a better job with this.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but this gets on my nerves because the "game's not for everyone lol" excuse is so often the easiest card to pull to shut down any discussion on the game's merits.

Cafe Closedown Review

I think the point of this game was that the cafe was meant to close down no matter what, simply out of principle that there are things you simply can't solve since it's beyond your control.

That's what I got out of it. :x

The Legend of Zelda: The Last Hero Review

You can find the blue ring by opening up Zelda Classic's cheat console.
The cheat you need to type in is ZiggyBaggyDoo. It's a secret to everybody!

Jokes aside, yeah, this was pretty much my first attempt at an actual Zelda game. I think as evidenced by how many people posted questions asking for directions in even the overworld map of this game, my biggest faux-pas was overusing obtuse puzzle-solving and relying on that to carry most of the game.

Did you know you could poke your sword against walls to find out which is bombable, just like the Gameboy Zelda games? If you didn't, I can't blame you since I probably should have communicated that somewhere as well.

Thank you for the review! I've learned quite a bit from your feedback as well as others.

Banana Mist Review

Freaking god that VX generated face graphic...

Also the premise of this game is actually kind of lol.

M&L's Delightful Adventure Review

As I'm playing through this, I have to agree that the presentation and stage design is quite nice. I didn't like the signs pointing out obvious junk either, though, and I'd add to say that I felt like the game's secret stuff (like green stars) were too obtusely hidden and the methods to obtaining them were neither clear or consistent.

I still like what I'm playing overall, though!

Crazy Hard Mario Review

I played this a while ago and was going to give my thoughts on it. Thank you for doing my work for me (lol), your sentiments match mine almost precisely.

This episode felt very thrown-together and I didn't really get a sense that it was challenging, more so frustrating and relying on fake difficulty.
