Pokemon X and Pokemon Y - the 6th generation confirmed!
author=Yellow Magic
Recently beat the 7th gym and some, uh, shitty plot-related stuff. So far, I'm really liking some of the new Pokemon: Aegislash is an absolute freaking best thanks to its ability, and Delphox is a solid special attacker/support.
The one major complaint I have about this game is that it's way too easy. I should never be 10 levels above gym leaders' Pokemon, and it's embarrassing how most of them aren't even fully evolved.
My 3DS Friend Code's 5129-1407-0950 - I'll add you guys soon.
While I did say that it was pretty hard, after the second gym it really loses it's difficulty curve. I beat the E4 and champion on my first try which is extremely sad. Also, the plot could have been better set up, but I guess B/W was a pretty hard act to follow, so I understand why I feel like it's not as good in that department. What makes me the most sad is that they created this absolutely massive Pokedex (like, 454 or something?) and only created around 68 new Pokemon. I'm fairly certain there's only a handful of legendaries too, barring the discovery of event Pokes or something like that.

Sad thing is, you can't transfer pokemon until this December shortly after Christmas with Poke Transfer and Poke Bank (should've been an in-game application but noooo) :P
I would say that this was upsetting to find out, but after considering it I don't want to transfer my Lv 100 Blaziken or Golurk from White, since there's really no post game stuff to do in X/Y.
Good Video Game Art
Which game developers do you trust?
I can't really say. I'm a pretty huge Nintendo guy, which I know is a pretty broad label. I tend to enjoy even the stuff that most people hate, and I'm excited for basically every new Nintendo first party release. The games may not be A+ a lot of the time but it's hard to deny the polish that they all carry. They also are generally less bullshit about DLC, now that they've finally adopted it.
The only dev that I 100% trust to make cool shit is Game Freak, I suppose. I love every Pokemon game, and their other stuff is pretty cool as well. There's Studio Pixel for Cave Story and Nifflas for the Knytt series.
Most of the companies that I used to love, like Square, Namco/Bandai, Bioware (from how things look), Maxis, and Rareware have pretty much all gone down the drain in recent years. I would name some more indie companies that I love, but really that market is only just springing up, so no studio has more than like, two games. It's hard to find a name that really sticks out beyond one project at the moment.
I follow Bethesda a lot, but outside of Fallout 3 and Oblivion I'm not that into their games, so I can't that I trust them to always have something cool on the go. From what little I played Skyrim struck me badly and TES Online was a weird idea.

What aspects of the site do you use most? least?
The whole game subscriptions/notices/gamepage system is great, and comprises most of my activity on the development side of the site. Other than that I'm just on the forums, the community portal being most of the reason I even come to RMN in the first place, since I don't actually play a lot of RM games. The game portal is cool, and really useful for finding things to review or to look for unpopular/weird games that haven't been given attention.
The front page is great, but Solitayre's suggestion would improve it a lot. I don't use the Development or Store portals at all, so I can't really comment on them. I think that maybe more Pictures of the Moment would be cool? I used to go to the screenshot topic to find cool looking games, but it doesn't get used for that so much anymore, so I find it harder to find out about cool games. I mean, there are a lot of tools for game promotion in place already, but I'm a visual guy so I guess it would appeal to my type a little more. (I know that there's already a random screenshot and new screenshot section, but more of the so called "cream of the crop" would be cool. The random section could probably be dropped, since it's easier to find out about old/unpopular games by using the game portal.)
Jude has a point about closing down the Screenshot Topic in order to make the development portal more active. It makes no sense to have it there if all it's doing is diverting attention away from something that you feel needs it.

EDIT: Regarding the screenshot thread, part of the reason it's so attractive to me is just the ability to show off a little. Sometimes I haven't set up all the fancy game profile stuff just yet - because I haven't come up with a title, or because I'm just working on a side-project - and being able to post miscellaneous screen shots and videos outside of the gamepage system is nice.I miss when the Screenshot Topic was almost entirely used for this. I like looking at vaporware goddammit.
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y - the 6th generation confirmed!
Finished X last night, still haven't messed around with a lot of the post game though. Gotta wait to get my DS Lite back from a friend so I can transfer some of my Pokemon over from White.
Also I may as well stick my friend code up here:

Super Columbine Massacre RPG!
I personally commend anybody who is willing and able to tackle issues like this with gaming, and do it in a really adult and sensible way, instead of making fun of it or hiding it behind thick symbolism in some damn art game.
Knowing that you've done your research and looked at other games in the same field only makes me more excited to play this. Keep up the good work!

Barbarians and the Beta Test
I would offer to test, but I've never bug tested a game before and I currently have no idea when I'll be leaving the province for work, so. Don't think that I wouldn't love to test it, though.
RPG Maker XP Security Threat
Mawk beat me to it. Norton is total trash, so I wouldn't trust a word it says. Microsoft Security Essentials is also pretty good, and it's free. I haven't had an issue with it yet.
