I like badasses. I like babes. I like badass babes the best. Okay...actually I like doggoes the very best, but I aspire to make games about badass babes is my point.
I use music from bands and artists in the free games I make: the frustrated filmmaker in me is very enamored of scoring scenes with rock'n'roll soundtracks Scorcese or Tarantino style. In addition to being a time honored tradition in cinema, this has a history in AAA videoogames as well (for a really great use of it, see Bioshock: Infinite). If I was a millionaire, I'd totally license these songs so I could actually use them legally.

EDIT: When you 'Edit' an existing download on RMN there's apparently this FUNNY!, FUNNY!, FUNNY! little bug where it says it's a link to the new download but is actually a link to the fucking old one. It's like a machine for compounding your embarrassment when you upload a bugged game. Workaround: Delete old download, Add new one, do not use Edit command.

Seriously, 10 hour remixes of Alex Jones' ravings about gay amphibians is the kind of thing we should be blasting at ridiculous volumes wherever we're fighting ISIL in the Middle East. That is straight up psychological warfare. 10 seconds of it? Funny. 10 minutes of it? Starting to get old. 10 HOURS of it...Clockwork Orange.

I honestly don't know if getting all of these games to Proof of Concept status and then shelving them to work on my main is a sound strategy, or if I'm just addicted to starting new projects. 50/50.
[REQUEST] [MV] [PAID] [DEVELOPER] Require developer to create a fantasy learning game for school students
I am tentatively interested in this but I need some questions answered first. Because in the balance of things I probably won't wind up taking on the commission, I'll ask the questions out in public so everyone considering this can see the answers, rather than by PM:
- What are you paying? Doesn't need to be an exact figure, just ballpark it.
- What is the time-frame/deadline? For instance, I think I'm probably not available until the end of September, and if I were to start then, the game wouldn't be done until November at the earliest. Of course, these factors are somewhat flexible based on the answer to the first bullet point.
- How much are you paying up front? I wouldn't do this for someone I hadn't worked with before without between 10% and 50% up-front, depending on what the pay is.
- Why does it need to be made in MV? Not a problem at all, just curious.
- Why does it need an ABS? Again, not at all a problem, just curious.
- Finally and most importantly, what are the questions, and the educational aspect in general, about? In other words, what is the subject of the class?
