I like badasses. I like babes. I like badass babes the best. Okay...actually I like doggoes the very best, but I aspire to make games about badass babes is my point.
I use music from bands and artists in the free games I make: the frustrated filmmaker in me is very enamored of scoring scenes with rock'n'roll soundtracks Scorcese or Tarantino style. In addition to being a time honored tradition in cinema, this has a history in AAA videoogames as well (for a really great use of it, see Bioshock: Infinite). If I was a millionaire, I'd totally license these songs so I could actually use them legally.

Okay, I finally played through the first half I submitted. Pleasantly surprised that there were no serious bugs. Just one aesthetic one, where you can wind up riding a dog for the final cutscene/boss battle. The cutscene is super dramatic and dark so it kind of ruins the mood but on the other hand it's kind of accidentally awesome, riding a dog into the "semi-final" battle.

so yeah from what I'm reading is nobody's exactly THRILLED with the "completeness" of the half they turned in, but i did just want to apologize for the inevitable bugs i failed to iron out in mine. esp. any that crash the game! hopefully there won't be any but i have no fucking idea.

Replaying Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (the only Zelda game I ever have or ever will? really give a shit about) for the first time since it was practically new, and playing Soul Blazer for the first time.

Deckiller splendiferous use of Time Fantasy. I was going to ask what tileset it was because I genuinely couldn't figure it out but thanks to momeka I didn't have to. It's funny because I own Time Fantasy I've just never used it yeti like the RTP too much

I kind of just noticed that RMN is the only webforum I use where if I do something silly like clicking directly on my locker after writing a 500 word post, my post is automagically still there when I hit the back button, like it was still cached or whatever. Well, no whatever, I'm 90% sure 'cached' is the right word.

what is sleep human beings don't need sleep right i mean that's just a myth right HA HA HA WHO NEEDS SLEEP sleep is optional am i rite?
translation: because i am a crazy person i have not slept in over 24 hours
i spent the last 15 of those hours working non-stop on my half so i could be done with it, because it's a crazy person, i mean because i'm a crazy person. in my rapidly fading hypomanic state i'm irrationally convinced with the zealotry of a mujahideen that it's the greatest (half a) story i've ever told in any medium and the greatest (half a) game i've ever made but i am sure that delusion will pass as soon as i am able to human again. it does have a minimum of 90 minutes of playtime though. that's nine times the minimum. wow. the number nine. it sure is. 9 9 9 9 9

fleeting moment of sanity: I really need to reevaluate my idea of "unambitious"; i thought chapelwaite was an unambitious idea and i wound up sinking 100s of hours into it and I was even more sure that this project was even more unambitious and then i had to burn my circadian rhythm to ashes in order to finish it. i need to find a 'minimum effort' gam mak gear, or at least a gear that is not 'maximum effort'.
i did not playtest the final build of my 1st half in any meaningful way so i will try to make sure it's not borked anywhere along the line tomorrow or whenever i wake up. if i wake up. i have transcended tired and i am in a state of...crazed bleeding eyed mania? yes that sounds rite. because i am a crazy person. god i can't even type or spell right now. why did i do this to myself.
if this seems like it is like being forced faked or exaggerated its not this is literally the muddy stream of consciousness spewing forth from my badly malnourished brain meat
my family is going to be over watching FOOTBALL of every goddamn thing (ugh loud cheering/yelling) so i have taken four different kinds of sleeping pills. because i am a crazy person. if i can even fall asleep in my dreams i will totes dream about each and every one of you taking this game and finishing it. jesus. that's like a gang bang. i have a filthy mind. not literally. figuratively.
in retrospect i apologize for this post.

then again i pirated 2k and 2k3 (back when that was the only way to get 'em), was gifted ace, and got MV for 70% off so i'm ahead of the game...except for the fact that I paid for VX twice lol.

I'm really going to try to turn in my thing today. It's very stressful working on something right down to the wire and I really want to be ahead of the deadline, not chasing it.
