The edges of the shore need some more variation. Try adding a few new tiles (edit the existing ones I guess) to the set and mix and match a few shore tiles here and there. It'll look a lot less uniform and a lot more natural.

Hosting has never been an issue, even when I paid for it out of pocket for like six years. RMN actually generates revenue now under the current structure.
Well if that's the case, then we're at the mercy of WIP's decision. Whatever is making WIP want to walk away from RMN is his business and I don't think any of us should presume to have the right to an explanation, but it's pretty fucked up to let the entire community fall on the sword for that, since almost everyone here has either tried to post a solution, or shown great sadness and/or anger at the current state of affairs. Clearly, we care very much about this.
Obviously, RMN has outgrown WIP just as WIP has outgrown RMN. The only logical choice would be to pass the torch to the next one willing to step up and handle this place.

To be fair, WIP didn't come back on the forums after I made that offer and say, "no." He didn't acknowledge it, actually.

I do agree that RMN should not go anywhere though. That was a pretty bad proposal.
In my experience, no matter what timeframe it was, Gaming World was chock full of elitist pre-teen cretins. Anyway, the state of past or current Gaming World isn't the issue.

It is provided to us by no charge. If there were a charge though, it'd probably be costly.
Well like I said, bandwith is unlimited on the package I have. So is storage. So if we wanted to do a test run and see how it performs, that's totally fine with me.

On April 2nd I am going to shut the site down. I realize that it falls very close to April Fools, but I wanted to give people notice to move their information. I have no plans to shutter the IRC channel.
I think that's a pretty straightforward way of saying, "This isn't an April Fool's prank." Until then, we as the RMN community members have to take any announcements by it's administration seriously.

OK, I'm a little late to the party, but I'll throw my two cents in.
RMN is a fantastic site. EVERY community website, no matter what, has some "troublemakers" on it, especially when forums are thrown into the mix. But this is such a small problem that I don't understand why anyone would list it as a factor in a site closing down.
WIP, your choice is your choice, and you have your reasons for coming to that choice, and I respect that 100%. With that said, let me just throw this out there.
I have space that I pay for (unlimited space, unlimited bandwith), and I WILL HOST RMN FREE OF CHARGE FOR HOWEVER LONG RMN WANTS TO BE HOSTED. If WIP wishes to administrate, or kentona, or Karsuman, or Magi, or WHOEVER, it doesn't matter to me. I will provide a permanent home for RMN if that is acceptable to the administration. I'll even pick up the bill for domain forwarding to keep the URL and all that. I've read through this thread and I see dozens of members that are genuinely upset that this place will be gone, and that's a testament to what RMN means to it's community.
In that respect, I am glad to help and will do it without hesitation.
