Lufia Trinity

Good to see the game is back on production! What ideas do you have for the future of the project?

Lufia VI:Echoes of Estoland

I organized a project of translation making a forum in esforos,
and it's a good way to put all together for make a big project,
so if you think is ok I can make a little forum of lufia-rpg maker
games.

Good Idea! I don't see a problem with it. I would like to get started ASAP, but im waiting for summer break. I want to plan the project with everyone whose interested. The game should have every decent Lufia system there is. The IP Skills, Learn Points, Capsule Monsters, Puzzle Solving, and a bunch of other systems should be present. Be sure to let me know whats going on. I'll keep everyone up to date as well.

Also, is there anyone interested in remaking Lufia III:The legend returns?
I would love to see a remake of Lufia III since not many people have played the game. Yeah I would contribute if I could.
You know if there were a team involved. But everyone's commitment lies elsewhere.

That is understandable and is also the main problem. Commitment is the hardest part, but I believe if we could first put our ideas together first, we could manage the project and bring it into existence. What im thinking of is and engine with all of lufia's default resources and functions. I'll come up with a design document and share my thoughts.

I'm working with RED and my Lufia is paused too, I expect
to make a whole new battle system like Lufia 2 (with cp too)
and the menu,

What is RED? And I look forward to a new battle system. I want to make my Lufia game so bad, but I can't at the moment. This series played a major role in getting me started in RPGs so I want to make a huge tribute to it. However, Lufia V:FTS is incredible and I'm glad I came across it. We NEED to create a default engine somehow.Perhaps we could all contribute resources and basic gameplay functions into one game and call it "Lufia Maker" or something.

Lufia VI:Echoes of Estoland

Not yet unfortunately. I am working on a Monster World/Wonderboy fan game that takes the best elements from the franchise and mix it all into one. Things such as monster transformations and power-ups return. Also, this is going to be the first Stage-Based MW game with over 50 made so far for the main game itself.

Anyway, once that game is done, I will be working on this project. I may also change the name to Lufia:Chronicles. I want to create my Lufia game the way I created my MW game.I want to pull the best elements from the franchise and blend it into one massive game(while filtering out the bad elements). Its also strange that the MW franchise and the Lufia franchise both have four main games in their series.

Until the demo of this game is released, feel free to try Monster World Legends. It was originally supposed to be a Lufia Platformer to begin with.It has gone from Lufia Adventure--Ninja Legacy--Fantasia:Rise of a legend--Monster World Legends(its had a lot of name changes).

This stage is the very first fully custom made stage in the game. The inspiration of the stage came from 2 sources. "Sweet Mountain Zone" From "Sonic Colors" and "Cakewalk Flip" from "Super Mario 3D World".

Are those three empty squares part of the HUD? If so they're kind of in the middle of the screen. If not they're kind of strange-looking to be part of the environment, since they look like they should be part of a weapon select menu or something.

I assume that pointer finger isn't supposed to there...

The red squares are empty blocks that turn solid for a moment when you press a switch. They turn back into those squares when time is up. The finger pointer is just a fancy sprite that follows the mouse position. I did have plans on removing it, but I need to make as many references to the Monster World Series as possible.

Also, its funny that you mention that the squares are supposed to be in the menu. As a matter of fact, its the same graphic I use as the cursor in the item selection menu.

intrest in a remake for lufia the legend returns?

I've always wanted to see a remake of this game. It was my very first RPG(along with Tales of Symphonia and FFV). and I've been a fan of the series and the genre ever since. However, the 9-character battle system won't be possible, so I was thinking of using a system similar to Final Fantasy X(Have 3 members, but able to switch out at any time).

I was also thinking of changing my Lufia game into a remake of Lufia III due to Lufia VI being lost to a corrupted Flash Drive. I'll have to start fresh and I love Lufia III so much I was thinking of giving it a remake.

It looks like I wasn't the only one who was thinking of this. If you ever decide to do it, contact me and let me know, I'll be more than happy to help in any way possible.

I'll be working on my Lufia game pretty soon as well. How much of the game is done?

ALERT:Title Change

Exactly! I had no idea what I was creating before I discovered the MW series and I've made so many references to it now, that I couldn't possibly claim it as my own title anymore.

The game has such a strong art direction and I plan to learn from it when I create a totally original platformer.
