New Demo Out Today!!
author=Dyhalto
Works fine for me.
This has come a long, long way since I played it last. I played through all 3 levels and the boss with Ferkin, of course. I couldn't beat the boss without stunlocking him with Yotsmungands though. Thank god they're free.
Some of my thoughts...
Considering the size of her sword, Bai could use a bigger attack range. Especially when you consider her slow speed. Also, her Run ability doesn't help her do long jumps. Players will naturally be expecting it to, so you should implement it.
How come Ferkin's magic's explosion doesn't hurt anything? Having mad destruction skills was the whole idea behind him :D I'm also guessing his magic wasn't supposed to be free.
I was expecting Lapse to make him reappear at the top of the screen, but it saved my ass far too many times for me to complain. Maybe you should add a little magic puff when he hits the cliff bottom just to make it seem more magical?
Somehow, I don't think Kiki's cape should be hovering in midair when she's at a standstill.
That boss needs a platform so the player can have some breathing space to figure out WTF he's going to do about him.
Did the shop not work, or was it just me?
Thanks for the feedback Dyhalto:) Here is an explanation for each of your thoughts. Bai is under heavy development still. I need to redo some of her animations and extend her range. I would say she is about 75 percent done. Also, her run ability has been fixed too:) I used one of my old engines as a base for it.
Ferkin's magic explosion will indeed hurt something later on. I spent a lot of time making their basic skills. And they won't be free later on. Originally, it did hurt something, but the enemies took so much damage from them, that Ferkin would seem invincible. I will re-add that, but the explosions will be sort of weak due to the the number of them.The magic puff does seem like a good idea. I'll add that too!
Kiki is also under heavy animation development. Her scarf is what is taking so long. In some areas I want it to flow and others not to. Also, I do plan on making that boss a mini boss later on in the game. Instead, I will replace it with a different enemy(won't spoil).
Thanks again for your feedback Dyhalto! Everything I hear from people helps makes this game's development deeper and deeper.
Monster World Legends
A new demo is out now! it has several demo areas and new material. The characters aren't complete and the only one I haven't attempted to add yet is Glaedr. He will be the final one I add of the submitted characters. There are also 4 new characters I plan on adding for the game. A female pirate named Zyla, an expert Archer named Atlow, Arc the Swordsman Prince, and A Nurse Named Gloria. I will try to release the NPC creation sheet next week too.

I have been working with game maker for nearly 2 years now and I can say that I have learned a lot since I started. When I needed help, I looked up turorials, downloaded game examples, and especially used the built-in manual. The best place for game maker is Yoyo Games. You can learn so much here, play other people's games(there are hundreds of them), and share them.
If you ever need help with something in game maker, I would highly recommend looking up tutorials.Also, I am making a game maker game here and I plan on releasing the engine when its complete. Anybody can use this engine to quickly learn lots of things that took me forever to learn. It has everything I ever wanted to learn to make in a 2D game all in one engine.
Game Maker is actually really simple to use.I just wouldn't recommend starting with an RPG or a 3D game. Beginners usually start with a platformer, maze, shooter, or something simple to get to know the engine. If you feel like you can create something greater, do so. Take it from an experienced game maker, at first you will be confused, but as you try new things, games, and tutorials, you will become better and better and will want to apply some examples you like to your game.

Lufia VI:Echoes of Estoland
author=jaguarcloud29
How many hours in total is this title?
Good Question:) I am aiming for about 20 hours, but more would be nice. If the game turns out to be really fun, I may increase it. I plan on making this Lufia game fun, fast-paced, and challenging. I will start working on this again soon. I promised myself I wouldn't work on 2 projects at once or I'll lose foucs on the other one. Once Fantasia is done, I will be heavily workin on this.

WREEEHUH WRAAAHUH! <--- my futile attempt at DK onomatopoeia. looks pretty fun.
Ha Ha! Does DK actually make those noises? And thanks, This game has plenty of precise platforming, but I needed some speed too so Sonic and DK really helped me with that.

At the moment I decided to ditch the LoD's "rotating square" and instead use a bar more similar to the one in Guitar Hero. "Boxes" move along the bar and you have to press the key when they reach the mark.
Some will require a single press (regular hits), others that you hold the key (charged attacks) and others that you mash the key as fast as possible (flurry hits).
Some regular boxes also have a critical area at their center: pressing the key when the critical area is centered with the mark will produce a critical hit.
The mark, or window frame during which you may press the key, can vary in width.
Here's a quick concept drawing of what I have in mind:
A fan-made prequel to LoD would be nice.
The rotating square system I made for this game is already functional, so I could show you how to code it in 2k3 when I get back to work on this.
So that's how its done:D Its like a mixture of Guitar Hero and that Final Fantasy Rhythm game that came out for 3DS. This should be very cool and fun.I guess this game will teach you some rhythm as well as button mashing. And I can't wait to see how you do the square system:) The prequel to LOD is going to be about Rose and her companions way before Dart was born. It should be fun to make because of it's battle interaction and addition possibilities.

So, with the LOD battle system, will you get to do several attacks like in the original game? If, so that would be awesome. But, I have a question. How would you go about doing that? Is the attack meter a bar, a square like LOD, or is it something else. I know you'll be able to pull it off because of the work you did with Crystalis:SOTFS Also, if you do make it, could you explain how you did it because I plan on making a prequel to the Legend of Dragoon. It bothers me that it has one game and plenty of in-story information to create a prequel, but it hasn't been done yet. I know a lot about it too because I've beaten it like 3 times with a memory card and it took me about 10 times to beat it without a memory card(several deaths and "power button accidents")
Anyway, this game looks like its going to be great and is one of the only retro games I've ever seen like this.Subscribed!!

I want to start designing levels so badly, but I promised I wouldn't until all of the characters are fully functional. I also have other development parts of this game planned that includes getting other people involved, but I need to complete the sheet for it.

Does this remind you of anything? If you guessed Donkey Kong Country, you are correct! The one thing from the DKC series I wanted to add was barrels. Their physics aren't perfect, but they do work like I intended them to which is good enough for me. I decided to add these because of how fun they are to use and how their speed adds a good sense of level flow.
