Well, I've been told about this freezing issue, but I honestly don't know how to deal with it. I've tested it in like 3 different computers, none of them had any problems. Some people complained that the game gets really slow and frozen on battles, and some said it freezes during the entire time while Brothel's open. It's probably got something to do with the dozens of parallel events that run at once, but... I dunno. What I would suggest is hiring Songbird and having her fight the battles (which are not many), because she can attack from afar, so you don't have to chase the enemy.
