When SE put out the 3D remakes of FFIII and IV, I had my doubts. I kept thinking the games would lose too much of their charm due to the visual shift, but I'm happy to have been wrong. They're great games and it would be a crying shame if SE didn't offer the same treatment to V and VI, though knowing Square-Enix' chrometophobia, I doubt they'll ever do it :(

FFIV DS is one of the best games in the universe. Up there with FFX, X2 and FFXII

Put me down as another huge fan of the PSP port of FFIV, "FFIV Complete Edition" -- the visuals are fantastic, the gameplay is untouched and the extra content makes the whole thing worthwhile. Now I'm just waiting for SE to stop dicking around and finally get to work on the FFIII/IV-style 3D remakes of V and VI for the DS. Even just thinking of playing FFVI like that gives me goosebumps XD

I do have FFVI on the PSOne and that has 3D FMVs, but that's about it as far as that goes, the rest of it is the normal SNES version. :S

I happened to find out that the reason why FFIV as well as FFVI for that matter were FFII and FFIII over here as because they didn't release the real II, III, and V til later..something which just makes a person wonder "why". :o
Totally FF, II and III where such great games. III is even better on the DS. Amazing game. Got II on my mobile :P
Man I need to see a FF shrink I'm addicted to them!
...First time I played FFIV DS i nearly cried seeing those characters in 3D haha!
I do prefer the remake of FF IV on the psps though xD

Speaking of 3d, I wouldn't mind seeing remakes of FFV and FFVI on the 3ds~ :3

Yeah :D

My first FF was FF V on the snes. Cant remember how much time i spent on mastering all jobs and defeating shinryu xD

That remake does look awesome, I love the spell effects in that game. Strangely it does look like it was made in RPG Maker! Not possible because it runs on PSP hardware. Smexy :P

And yeah, FF V is crying for a remake. I loved the job system in that game as well.

VI especially. I'd kill to get it on my DS since I don't have a 3DS...yet. And I'm totally bummed about that since OOT 3D is on that and I've played that game on my N64 about a thousand times over. GRAH!

Wow, Mystic Quest Legend. This sure does bring back memories, it was the first RPG I ever played. Full of just about every trope and clishe in existence it was great for beginers. I remember panicing when Kaeli left my party as I didn't know allies could do that. I also loved that there were actual battle animations, you didn't just hit the enemies and they died, these ones showed wounds and weakened. The second boss was a skeleton dinosaur who lost ribs and fell to the ground as you beat him up.

Heh Heh, MQ was my first FF I played, before I played FFIV (actually it was FF II over here, don't know why) so yeah this game hits great moments for me, and it deserved a remake. Now I'm tasked with trying to keep up with the original's grandeur :P

Na, It's cool, Lol I'm using Ace anyway so it wouldn't work. Just thought it was interesting that we both thought of using this~ :D

Ace looks cool but the reasons for upgrading to it are very small. I can do most things in VX that you can in Axe with a little coding. :P

Worth it indeed, Lol I like that the hook actually has rope attached to it btw, mine only shoots the actual hook. It pulls you across on an invisible rope~ ^o^

You can have the code for this if you want.

Great minds think alike~ ;3 You're able to move over to other platforms by using that right? Sounds like how I set my grappling hook up using the CSCA dungeon tools. :) Anyway, looks neat!

Yep, I'm not taking credit for the code behind it, just the implementation of this. The code was by OriginalWij, very good script indeed. However his tile setting was completely wrong for this game so I had to put in the tile IDs that the hookshot can travel over. Difficult work, but it's worth it :)

Gonna give the battlefields a run now... I hope there even in the game with my old save xD

Edit: The reward for Yunalesca was worth the fight^^

Edit 2: Are there 2 battlefields in windia?

Heh Heh :)
Yeah, there's another two battlefields in Windia, two in forest / desert region, one near volcano and one near Midland temple. That makes 6 in all but all of them are quite unique. There's also more of them to come yet while I work on some more bosses (I dont just wanted re-skins, I want them to be unique to each battlefiled).
I may even do it so Meteor can be obtained this way - it is the ultimate spell after all and it would be silly if they could just 'learn' it.
