Yeah, I apologize for being so harsh, but the balance left me a very sour taste that I couldn't shake off. And marking the secret party member as bad design is mostly because it's basically required if you want to beat the game, otherwise I wouldn't mind it as much. But hey, I'm glad that you took the criticism well, and I'm not lying when I say that there's some potential, it just needs some polishing.
It's all good. I understand the frustration since the event version of OATH was severely broken. I got ill midway through the event and was unable to properly test the game. I only managed to wrap it all up as a demo.
In retrospective, it would've been better to withdraw from the event than release an unfinished game since it cause more harm than good.
Thanks for your thoughts and thanks for this awesome event. I seriously enjoyed the theme and challenge (even if I couldn't finish it), it brought me back to another time.

What exactly happened with the previous event? There was a Pride contest that members were disagreeable about? And the staff so quickly conceded to cancel it?
How sad. Are we still in 2006?
(..I hope that wasn't the case)
To my understanding, no one had issues with the Pride side of the event (RMN is not that kind of place), what people didn't like was the additional Sin theme.

Thanks for the feedback, El_WaKa. It felt pretty harsh, but I appreciate it nonetheless. There's a lot I need to fix in the game.
I don't agree with your comment about terrible game design though. There's no hidden huge bonus and you don't need to "fail" to get it. It all comes down to the choices made by the player, directing them to different paths in the game.
Maybe you feel this way in this unfinished demo since the balance is completely broken.
Don't worry about the long wait. Life has been complicated for most of us, so it's all cool in my book.

I like the Golden Week of RM2k3 event, like a lot of games in this event. Although there are many works that have not been released, a pity.

Cool review! I agree with the sentiment.
Dunno if Cernus is still around, which is a shame since he was a pretty cool guy.
It's a pretty good game given the time frame. Some nifty gameplay systems, even if a little unbalanced. The story is where it really shines though!
