Graphic Designer looking for work~!!
Hi everyone!
I graduated from my line of studies a month or 2 ago and I'm currently looking for whatever work possible. I'd be interested in doing freelancer jobs or if there is a bigger project - that would be equally interesting. I can do many different things that fall under graphic design banner, from illustrations to sprite artwork to animations and much more. 3D however is my weakest link, let's just forget such things exists :P I think I'm pretty good at adapting to different styles and generally I try give every piece of art - no matter how small - an extra something, Plus Ultra and all that. Feedback is crucial and often times I've noticed that following suggestions of others lead to the best results.
Now to the business side of things; even if I mostly spend my time around indie game making boards and such, where money is not a luxury we got - I can't afford to do work for free anymore. I will have to ask for a fare that's close to the standards of graphic designers. Of course it all depends on the size of work and what kind of project it is. Personally I prefer projects that I like, instead of projects where I get paid the best. So if you got a possible project - don't be alarmed with the money talk, I'm still interested in hearing out details! :)
My portfolio can be found here!
As for game graphics, my best known project is Fear & Hunger, where I have done practically everything from sound design to graphics.
More about Fear & Hunger here!
Here's just some random works, but I encourage everyone to check the links shown above:

Status update~!!
Thanks!! ^^ The trailer is a bit rough around the edges, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out

author=Luiishu535Everything is made in Photoshop so in that sense, yea. I'm just too lazy to do proper pixel art, so I paint with PS brushes and then fix it up on pixel level where I see necessary. Battle graphics so far have ended up more painting-like, but there's more pixel work done with tilesets and sprites. Dark Souls certainly is one of the influences, probably doesn't come as a surprise :)
@orange: Your game's art style looks really interesting. It reminds me of Dark Souls. Do you use painting tools for everything?

@Momeka, you got a point with the battle animation. The guy making it raised the same point with one other animation he was doing. In the game the animation passes by so fast, so you don't really get to see it that clearly, so it wasn't a problem to me. But let's see where it goes. I think I got pretty weird way of doing pixel art, so it isn't that easy to mimic that. oh and your screenie looks awesome again! :)
@Luishu, What are you talking about?? :O That looks awesome! Keep at it! I especially like the floor tile, but there's nice contrast between floors and the rest of the tileset!
@dethmetal, I'm really liking that cathedral! Problem with that big maps is that the player never gets to see all the work that went into it, unless you can fly around or something. Anyways, I get a feeling we might have a bit similar inspirations with our games :D

I was already impressed with the screenshot, but then I read the keywords: "Tower of Latria" :O
I'm really loving the feel this map has!

I agree, glass table could use some work. Maybe make it less transparent? Or add frames to it? I do love your sprites. A lot of character in them! ^^
Anyways, just decided to drop in to show some new battle animation. My game is not 100% solo project anymore as I got a friend to make some battle animations. I'm really liking the smoothness :O

That's a good idea. The thing is , I'm not sure if they're bones, ornaments or something inbetween. I'd kinda like the pillars to be "sophisticated" in a way...
This is all praise, but I gotta say how cool that fade to black looks :D It gave me some nostalgia tingles to old DOS games for some reason.

@Momeka, that is so cool. I simply love everything in that screenshot :O
so yeah, I think I need to post something every once in a while too to show the project is still alive and well:

I'm in a dilemma in that screenshots give away some mysteries of your game, but at the same time you kinda need them for marketing side of things :/ My solution is to just show more of the same. A little boring, I know D: Here's alchemist's laboratory.

Introducing the main cast of Fear & Hunger! Also info on planned release schedule...
Yes absolutely I'm planning on having negative effects too. They might form up to be faction-like element in the game, where pleasing one might displease the other. Although lore-wise all the older gods are pretty independent and the real clash between the gods is between older and new gods.
I'm pretty much on the same page with the pools-idea :D I was planning something like this already, as you can pray different gods on different shrines in the demo, but I didn't consider it affecting the coin toss. I guess I was a bit stuck with the idea that a coin toss is a coin toss - a 50-50 chance, nothing more, nothing less. In the end the coin toss is like placing your fate onto the hands of a higher power, so it's pretty natural that the better your relationship with this higher power is, the better your chances get. And like you said, limited pools are a good way to keep the danger and loss in the coin toss!
